Vice President Cheney, appearing on Meet the Press, claims it has "been pretty well confirmed that [Mohammed Atta] did go to Prague and he did meet with a senior official of the Iraqi intelligence service in Czechoslovakia last April, several months before the attack."He will continue to say this even after the FBI, CIA, and Czech intelligence back off the claim. The 9/11 Commission will debunk it thoroughly.

Just one example of the lies and marketing campaign that the cons have spewed to sell the war to us.

Don't see anyone much posting to this one. Guess you can argue with the truth.

I am a PDQ Bach fan ... on one of the early albums, Professor Schichle (I hope I spelled that right) tells a long joke about J.S. Bach and then has a comment about truth. He says ...

"Truth is truth -- you can't have opinions about truth."

well if you cant refute it in any way then just keep harping on the Kerry non story.

Ya know fate is funny. One thinks one can dodge it or fake it or escape it...but it really does catch up with us.

The Cons have been playing a very dangerous game ever since Nixon left.

In an attempt to get back in power they have done every dirty trick in the book.

My thought is the reason the cons party is full of pedophiles and divorces and closeted gays ans so forth is because God is wathcing....and there is equity...you cant be that bad and not get it.

Look at Newt>>>>if you dare......why has he not moved on?

why do these guys think it si thier right to be in power forever?

Newt was kicked out and has the nerve to still be acting like he is a saint....he needs to move on.

Pat Buchannon is another one....Why has he not moved on???

What is the fascination for these guys???

They all have fabulous pensions at our expense and yet they still want more.

The only one out of all of them I really liked was Colin Powell....but I knew they would screw with him.

Do you believe these people are representing you?

Is what you read here the way you want it done?

These people are supposed to be public servants!

        Not stooges of special interests!

Look at the voting records of your politicians.

Here is another one that sounds funny but I don't doubt it's a freudian slip.

Yes, the funny thing is people that criticize Moore's work as being unfair have to admit that he did not coerce people into saying these things. They do it on their own.

I actually heard Howard Dean say they would leave the repubs be because they eventually will shoot themselves in the foot. I didn't think that was a good aproach but it sure is working now.

(I wonder if Cheney was aiming for his foot?)

                      Since everyone seems to like quotes......thought you might enjoy this from 19th century philosopher John Stuart Mill;

"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth war, is much worse.

The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Mulder..........Republicans aren't avoiding this thread my friend. It's just when we see the subject content and read the ill thought submissions posted here, we just sort of feel it's not worthy of any educated persons time to follow the thread. I mean....you're quoting people like Michael Moore and psychopaths like Howard Dean as if they were deserving of even a small amount of respect. The quickest way to lose your credibility is to display, for all to see, that which you deem to be sage and valid intellectual input.

Howard Dean and Michael Moore for God's sake.

                      Please!!!!!!!!!!
