From the article: "The American Civil Liberties Union sued the National Security Agency in January on behalf of journalists, scholars and lawyers who say the surveillance has made it difficult for them to do their jobs because they believe many of their overseas contacts are likely targets." So the press would say they no longer have sources they can talk to because they don't want to be on the US surveillance list as possible overseas contacts. Sounds like they have grounds and standing before the court.
