Jan. 10, 2007, 2:14 p.m.I see the Iraq war FUBAR deny-ers are out in force. But the magnet toting Faketriots haven't signed up yet have they...so great to be so patriotic from the easy chair. I'll bet they are the best quarterbacks and halfbacks and wide receivers on the couch.

Jan. 10, 2007, 9:28 a.m.Why don't he and the Bush twins go?
That statement rushran is the only type of solution people with your frame of mind can come up with I will say one thing though, you're good at coming up with a lot of bashing and belly-aching. But there's no credibility in that, is there?

Jan. 10, 2007, 10:58 a.m.C'mon Jimiln, Do really think this is bashing, it's worse than that...this is the American people for the most part 69% who are disappointed and ******ed of. I suppose you would be too if you could only pull your head out of your ass long enough to notice the mess this man and his administration has place this country in. I try never to use the word hate but I HATE WHAT THESE IDIOTS HAVE DONE TO MY COUNTRY, and any American with an open mind should. I am not going to say republicans love this country any less than the DEMS but to insist that this fool is or has done anything right is borderline anti-American. He is ruining the country...so what if a few rich guys get richer our middle class is being destroyed, the international community hates us...the didn't 6 years ago. I can go on and on but there is a word limit here...My friend please put aside your party affiliation and open your eyes, this guy is really, really bad...I am thinking the worst ever here!!!!

Jan. 10, 2007, 11:54 a.m.Having the twins go isn't a suggested solution it was a question. The right-wing and its poster boy deserves all the bashing they get. Total failure. Nothing done right.

Jan. 10, 2007, 2 p.m."But there's no credibility in that, is there?"
No. but it's a fair question. Instead of getting sloshed in Argentina and losing her handbag, the Bush twin could be carrying a rifle. Sounds fair to me. Daddy's committed to getting as many Americans killed as possible.

Jan. 10, 2007, 3:09 p.m.Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...And for those individuals who are over there fighting and believe in what they are doing??? For those enlisted personell who are in uniform in the sandboxes who are fighting for freedom and keep signing waivers to go right back out because they see the need to be there and help these people??
Oh shame on those people huh.

Jan. 10, 2007, 6:42 p.m.Unfortunatly, I am to old to sign up and fight proudly for my country, instead of complaining all the time about how bad this country is being run. Why don't you just leave the country if it is so bad.

Jan. 10, 2007, 9:47 a.m.(So the cokehead is going to admit his 'mistake.')
More likely, it will be the passive voice, "Mistakes were made." Or one of his, "I take responsibility but it's not my fault."

Jan. 10, 2007, 11:21 a.m.'Hey, don't go throwing stones. you're best man for the pres job obama osama is the admitted coke user and ole BJ clinton didn't inhale. yeah right. But bush has a few drinks and he's the problem. but that's okie dokie."
Are you for real a few drinks? The point here is neither of these men you mention are in charge of our country...I can give a rat's ass what they are doing, bush is running our country, very badly I might add. A few drinks is an out and out lie and you know it. You GOPers didn't get it in November; people can see through your so call little lies. We, including you, know that he was a Coke head, not just a few drinks "COKE" And just so you know it's an insult to mention Mr. Clinton and this bush in the same vane...it's just wrong Bush couldn't shine Bills shoes this stumbling idiot we have to call president.

Hello? 4th and 5th Amendment to the Constitution, anyone?
"Oh and by the way, where is your PROOF that Bush is a Cokehead? OH wait a minute. since when do the lefties care about FACTS.. since like NEVER. You're a big dummy."
Well, I guess that since there is PROOF that Pres. Bush was derelict in his duty in the military, and that there were several drunk driving arrests on his record in addition to a "Smoking Gun" video posted in the months before his Presidential campaign showing him to be quite soused at a wedding reception, the facts would suggest that the President is a deserter, a drunk and a liar. It's a good thing "lefties" don't care about facts.

Jan. 10, 2007, 1:58 p.m.So? I've used pot, I've gotten drunk, I know a lot of very successful people who did and do the same, and I don't think that Bush's use was necessarily a problem. The problem with Bush is his ideology and incompetence.

Jan. 10, 2007, 3:17 p.m.Honestly, I am going to vote a write in, Rice, I know she doesnt want it, but for the first time in my life, a female is my ideal canidate for President. She has the backbone for it, already knows political leadership from all over the world and is working hand in hand with them already, highly educated, and an extremely respectable " tell it like it is" individual.
That is my Vote in 08.. "Write in Rice". Since she doesnt want it, noone will get it. =)~~~

Jan. 10, 2007, 3:26 p.m.Hillary would be a far better President than Bush. She understands how our government was designed to work and would not circumvent the system as Bill did not circumvent the system. Most of the other potential candicates seem to understand that the Presidency is not unitary and was never intended to be. So, most other potential candidates, including Hillary, will not be inherently inclined to abuse the constitution and commit crimes while in office as the ideologically right-wing Bush.
Now, be a good godservant and fetch his coffee.

You statement only proves that it is not the best interest of this country that you are concerned with, only the best interest of THIS President.

Jan. 10, 2007, 9:43 a.m.The Bush invasion in Iraq has bothered me for as long as it has been in existance. It made sense to go after bin Lauden. As far as I am able to understand, it never made sense to go into Iraq. Hussein (who WAS an evil man) is gone. What is it Bush is now trying to "win" in Iraq? If he wants people in the streets (referred to as insurgents, although the word means those who fight against an established government, so maybe it should apply to someone other than the Iraqi citizens) to stop shooting other people in the streets, if he wants people in the streets to stop shooting American young men and women in the streets, he would do well to focus his attention on New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, D.C., etc., etc. If he wants to "win", he got the King, that's called Check Mate in chess, which is a game for smart people, and the game ends. When will he define himself as winning? He wants to set up a "democracy," which we don't really have here.
-

djn3nunez3
Jan. 10, 2007, 10:22 a.m.I doubt that he will admit that the invasion itself was a strtegic blunder that will likely haunt us years after his term expires.

Jan. 10, 2007, 11:37 a.m.Yeah, you're right. It's just downright awful here in the US of A. >>>>>
Things are going bad here, and to sit on one's butt and ignore it, is to abdicate responsibility for keeping it a great country. That is done by holding leaders accountable, and speaking out when they are wrong. If you don't want to be a patriot (and that is precisely what dissenters are), then fine. Someone else will do the job for you.

Jan. 10, 2007, 4:46 p.m.so your point is that america is a better place to live and that somehow makes all Bushs blunders and lies ok?? is that what you mean? because if it is, i wonder if you thought the same thing when Clinton was Pres... i mean, by your own logic, it means that no matter what any Pres does, as long as america is "a better place to live", whatever they do is OK... personally im glad you feel that way... because i cant wait to hear you singing the praises of the next Pres, who thanks to Bushs incompetence will almost surely be Democrat...

Jan. 10, 2007, 9:48 a.m.Like I said in my prior posts on other issues, no matter what Bush does, whether it's right or wrong The left wing will find fault. Even if he "cut-and-run" which is the far left's idea, you would find fault with that also.
Like I said before---"get a life"
P.S. I already served in the military serving my country. Maybe it's you that should sign-up and go fight. Maybe then you would stop all your left wing rubbish.
You want all the freedoms that's been provided and protected for you, but you don't want to do anything to keep them yourself. Bashing and belly-aching won't keep your freedoms.

Jan. 10, 2007, 10:26 a.m.So how does invading and occupying an oil rich Arab nation that was not involved in the 9-11 attacks protect me and my families' freedoms?
I dare say it does not. In fact I think we are in more danger from future attacks after the invasion and occupation.

Jan. 10, 2007, 11:48 a.m.Please feel free to serve again - I am sure they need a few "good" men(or women).
Please also explain how fighting a war in Iraq has anything at all to do with our freedoms here. Go ahead and try - I need a good laugh.
I am certain that those you appear to have so much disdain for would be among the first to sign up if our "freedoms" here were truly in jeopardy.

Jan. 10, 2007, 9:58 a.m.Bush is responsible for more than 500,000 deaths. He lied us into this war based on cherry picked intel. Those people who gave him honest advice were dismissed. The constitution he ignored while endorsing torture. But, the truly amazing part of this fiasco that people still believe that Iraquis flew into the WTC, these are all his ignorant supporters.

Jan. 10, 2007, 10:04 a.m.missc--- You seem to be one of those in the country who just cannot grasp the truth that we are in a war against world wide terror. Yes Saddam is gone, the world is better for it. The battle in Iraq is just one front of that war. We are trying to defeat the terrorists at that front. Another front right now is Somolia. There is a front wherever the terrorists kill and take away freedoms.
It really is sad, but there is a segment of society who just cannot or will not adhere to the idea that this is a major problem to all civilized society.
Look at the history of the world. Every so often through the centuries, evil gets so bad that civilized people have to snuff it out to survive. We are now in another one of those times. You are always going to have people who can't or won't understand this. Many times these people are just as much a danger as the known enemy.
-

djn3nunez3
Jan. 10, 2007, 10:42 a.m.Um you seem to be one of thsoe people that think Saddams' Iraq was a major player in the Islamic radicals organization. Which, according to the State department in 2001 was not true. Both Rice and Powell beleived that Iraq was contained and was not even a threat to it's neighbors.
The blunder of invading an oil rich Arab nation has increase the strength of the Islamic Radicals. The failed occupation has left Iraq broken by civil discord and has added to the strength of the Islamic radicals as well.
The mistake, of course, was morphing the effort to get bin Ladens' group of fighters into the invasion and occupation of Iraq, instead of taking the fight where they were (Pakistan)

Beeboppin71
Jan. 10, 2007, 12:26 p.m.Oh good, we're attacking terrorism on different fronts. So then, will you please explain why we went after Iraq when most of the terrorist who attacked us were from Saudi Arabia? Why did we attack Iraq when they had nothing to do with terrorists? Saddam disliked terrorists as much as we do. And if you could please tell me why Osama Bin Ladin is still on the loose, that would help also. Do you think that we haven't caught him because he's related to the Saudi Royal Family?
Your answers should help myself and others better grasp this "Global War on Terror"
Thanks in advance!

Jan. 10, 2007, 12:56 p.m.It is even sadder there is a segment of our society which will never admit what a huge mistake invading Iraq was/is, etc. afgahnastan? Yes. Osama? where is he? Somalia? yes?
