Jan. 11, 2007, 6:02 p.m.A bump on the head. But not even that will work.
He's a blockhead and an incompetent who shouldn't be heading up a baseball team let alone the greatest nation in the world.

Jan. 11, 2007, 6:49 a.m.Boy, 26% is the lowest I have ever noticed....back in April 1951, President Harry Truman held the record low at 29% when he disclosed he relieved Allied Supreme Commander in the Far East, General Douglas MacArthur.

Jan. 11, 2007, 7:14 a.m.As bad as everything is going because of his flawed decisions, it is amazing how he just keeps on going on. He just disregatds Congress and worse, the American people. He must think he was elected King.

Jan. 11, 2007, 7:49 a.m.What part of "Get the hell out of Iraq" that the American people trumpeted in an election over 2 months ago did Duh?bya not understand? All of it!
"It grieves me so to see them in such pain.
I wish there was something we could do
To make them smile again,
And help them in their struggle to be free.
The problem is all inside your heads," I said in glee.
"The answer is easy if you take it logically.
There must be fifty ways to leave Iraqis!
It's really not my habit to intrude.
Furthermore, I hope meaning won't be lost or misconstrued.
But I'll assert myself at the risk of being rude:
There must be fifty ways to leave Iraqis."
Just say: "You're out of your gourd, George.
Make a new plan, man. Just slip from the front, runt.
You don't need to be coy, boy. Just leave Iraqis.
Hop on the plane, Jane. You don't need to discuss much.
Just ship out to sea, Candi, And let them live free.
For there must be fifty ways to leave Iraqis."

Jan. 11, 2007, 7:55 a.m."I'll repeat myself at the risk of being rude:
"Revise your old plan, man. You don't need a new ploy, boy.
Get on the stick, dick; just let them live free!
You don't need to discuss much. Bug out on a train, Jane,
And let them live free.
It grieves us so to see them in such pain.
And there is something we can do to make them smile again.
Make a new plan, man. You don't need a new toy, boy.
Just slip out the gorge, George. Just let them live free!
You act like a prick, dick. You don't need to discuss much
Fly off in a plane, Jane, And let them live free.
(sorry--guess I have to update that now that Dick has been a casualty of war--I hope decapitalizing Dick will do it without offending too many.)

Jan. 11, 2007, 12:47 p.m.It's just so late for that, it seems pointless. We should have impeached him years ago. His SECOND term is halfway over and he's done enough damage to last us a lifetime.

Jan. 11, 2007, 8:54 a.m.Bush wants a surge, let's give him a surge. Follow the link.
http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/
Put in your zip code and it will bring up your Congressional representative and senators. Send them an e-mail and tell them you want Bush and Cheney impeached. If the Congress starts getting flooded with impeachment demands, they may think they will lose the next election if they don't comply with our wishes.

Jan. 11, 2007, 9:23 a.m.Iraq is a Quagmire. I've heard it on the news alot that even Bush's old man said he didn't go into Iraq cuz he'd never be able to get out.............and here we are.

Jan. 11, 2007, 10:32 a.m.In the first Gulf War we went in with overwhelming force and a true coalition that that was willing to share the burden, and they did. This President seems to be more concerned about his "legacy" than the will of the American electorate, which in the last election voted to get us out of Iraq.

Jan. 11, 2007, 11:15 a.m.Vie - He was elected President. Not God. Not King.
He should represent the people.
He doesn't waffle or wobble in the face of complete failure. You fnd that comforting?
He needs the support of the people who he is supposed to represent.
He needs somebody to tell him to do the right thing. Stop representing the big oil companies.
Try to destroy him? he is doing a great job all by himself.
Don't insult me and millions of others by claiming he is better than me/us in character, morals, and ethics because he has NONE.
And people on the left are not commies. You demonstrate a great right wing trait; name calling. And he is the facist. Do you understand the meaning of either word? look them up.
He loves his oil, his rich friends and his money. He cares nothing for this country and never did. why did he buy that land in South america?
He ridicules himself and believe me there is absolutely nothing he has to envy.

Jan. 11, 2007, 1:17 p.m.Vie, you are what's wrong with this county. You are the 26% that approves of total chaos.
There is an astronomical difference between "staying the course" and just plain stubbornness. Some would say the definition of insanity is performing the same behaviors over and over and expecting different results.

Jan. 11, 2007, 1:36 p.m.Vie:
Only 26% of the people in this country approve of Bush, that means 74% don't. A large majority of those who don't approve are republicans.
Wake up and smell the coffee. Blind devotion will get you killed, and Bush don't care.

Jan. 11, 2007, 11 a.m.Unfortunately, I believe that it is YOU that has absolutely NO idea what is going on in Iraq.
There is an ALL OUT Civil War, the "gangs" number in the HUDNREDS of THOUSANDS, MILLIONS of Iraqis have fled or are displaced, and the country is in CHAOS.
And yes we CAN blame W! He and his cronies (Rice, Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld) LIED about intelligence to convince Congress to let him invade. It IS the fault of Bush and the white house that we are in this COLOSSAL MESS.
-

not2needy
Jan. 11, 2007, 1:41 p.m.I don't blame the gangs in LA on Bush, i blame it on the people who live there who refuse to do anything to take back their communities.
Gangs tried to take over here too, the people in the communities banded together to take back their communities. It is a constant, daily job, but they don't give up because they don't want to happen here what happens in LA!

Jan. 11, 2007, 3:16 p.m.The troops that are now in Iraq are already needed elsewhere, such as North Korea and Iran. With those troops tied up, both North Korea and Iran know that no matter how much we bluster, we are just a paper tiger.

Jan. 11, 2007, 3:35 p.m.But Democrats are fearful of being labelled unpatriotic,>>>
This is ridiculous! Whoever said that doing the right thing would be the popular thing? You do it anyway, because it's the right thing to do! As long as 'they' are secure in their patriotism, what do they care what the trolls say? Tell em to kiss your *ss, and do your dang jobs!

Jan. 11, 2007, 3:56 p.m.It is common knowledge that the "general public" is wrong time and time again. "Group Think" is a product, in this case, of an increasingly liberal bias in the media that is skewing the public sentiment to the left.
What if, for example, we would have pulled out of Germany after WW2? The general public wanted this as they were tired of war. THANK GOD we had a president at that time that was brave enough to see the forest through the trees. Had he not, RUSSIA would probably be the world superpower right now, not the USA.
Lets use another analogy...sports betting. How often is the general public wrong? At last count about 80% of people voting on ESPN.com thought Ohio St. was going to beat Florida. Who won? Well, if you were in the 20% minority YOU WERE RIGHT. Just like now!
-

Jan. 11, 2007, 7:16 p.m.The analogy you attempt between the situation in Iraq and the situation with Germany after WWII is absurd and the two have VERY little in common.

Jan. 11, 2007, 7:33 p.m.This is a premature report. Just as failure has been a premature prediction. The dems have found a political advantage and now with little moral regard are/have exploited it.
The overall numbers of the election don't show a mandate. The news, including Fox, show the problems nearly exclusively. If the alternatives had been truthfully broadcast, pole results would have been drastically different.
Just as the dems want the Repubs to reap that sowned , so will the dems. Just wait.

Jan. 11, 2007, 9:57 p.m.72% said Mr Bush did not have a clear plan for Iraq.
I don't think this is true at all. I'm very sure he had a plan, he just didn't let the general public in on it. Still denying it has anything to do with oil yet we see the Iraqi oil fields divied up among American oil companies. 14 permanent bases being built for what purpose? What happened to "Iraqi oil belongs to the Iraqi people"?

Jan. 12, 2007, 11:54 a.m.Iran has us right where they want us fit to be tied. George needs to give it up. Our US embassy in Athens Greece has just been bombed. Seems like they like to fight over there. It is their way of life. Our way of life use to be to come up with a way to keep our country going and proctected without having to depend upon another country. We should shut our borders and do this now. What about mental incompetency? Could it be possible to get him out of there with that? After all an Alcoholic, even one that has stopped drinking has damage to his brain cells.
