im glad hes running. as a resident of massachusettts i can tell u hes done great things here with taxes and the state budget. i think hed be great to discern a solution to the staggering national debt. i just dont understand why it matters that hes morman. this country was founded on the principles of not having predjudice against religion why is the media making a big deal of this now?

The 08 election will be the first time in 80 years that there will be no incumbent fielded. Both the Democrats, and the Republicans are running multiple candidates. But now you can't swing a dead cat without hitting one, and that is insane.

ramblingwreck: You're right about the number of candidates running and there will probably be more announcing as we go along. I do not think that any self-respecting dead cat would allow themselves to be used in such a manner....they (the cats) have their ethical standards, something most politicians are lacking.

I prefer Rudy, because he could bring in disgruntled Democrats, Republicans (not Conservatives) and Indepenents. But if Mitt Romney was the Republican standard bearer he will get my vote. My religion is not his concern, and his is not mune.

ramblingwreck: I had hoped we were past this issue when JFK ran and was elected or when Senator Lieberman (sp?) ran for VP and did so well. Unfortunately, from listening to various news broadcasts on candidates for various offices, the news media at least believes it is still an issue. Personally, I cast my two-cents in with you....my religious beliefs are not his business nor are his mine.
