Let us pause for a moment and think why would this happen now, Iran's oil income is down because of a drop in production caused by the drop in exploration. Since big oil isn't there to drill them new wells they are in seriously reduced economic circumstances. They realize that every time they get the commodities market spooked they raise the price of oil per barrel by 10 or so bucks raising their income from existing production by nearly 20%. Folks it's all about money, it has nothing to do with territorial waters or the obvious violations of maritime law.

Lets wait until they are having a nice mass religeous festival where all the Ayattolas and political figures are in attendance and then nuke Qom.

The total destruction of Qom under these circumstances would result in the total decapitation of the current regime.
