The Democratic presidential candidates collectively outperformed the Republicans, and by a substantial amount.

Democrats raised a total of about $78 million, compared with just over $51 million by their rivals, according to preliminary first-quarter figures provided by the campaigns.

And you think Democrats got some of their money from Republicans? It is 19 months until the next election, and 9 months until the first primary. Republicans do not think the Presidency is for sale, but they will have plenty of money when they need it. Money cannot vote.
