I would go with Hillary Rodham Clinton just to give conservatives fits. When she's president and governs much more effectively and wisely than W. could ever dream of it will give them convulsions. I can't wait to see all the negative dreck they throw at her. It'll bounce off her just like it did Bill. They'll be fit to be tied, and for no real reason. She, like her husband did, will use ideas from the full range of the political and intellectual spectrum, more interested in things that work, than ideological nonsense.
I don't know about Obama. He's new to the national scence and no one knows how he might be as a chief executive.
The Republican candidates seem to just tell people what they want to hear in order to get their votes. I don't see any real enthusiasm around any of their candidacies. Guiliani has probably participated in more gay rights activities than any conservative causes. McCain is hated, and Romney not trusted for flip flopping.

I would like the Republicans to run against Hillary Clinton, for selfish reasons. She is unelectable. She is liberal, weak on National Security, and is not likable. I am afraid she will lose to Barak Hussein Obama anyway He would not be as easy to beat, but his Muslim Background will take away some of his appeal to those outside the Beltway.

If Obama wins he'll probably go all the way. His charisma and cult of personality will overwhelm the issues much in the same way Reagan's popularity did in 1980's.
A lot of independents and swing voters will get caught up in his cult of personality, and it will usher in a new day of American politics.

Most of the people making up Barak Hussein Obamas crowds are young. Young people talk about voting, they think about voting, but they mostly stay home on election day. Last election in Milwaukee they gave the youth vote drugs, and beer, and they still didn't vote, because most did not show up at the polls.

It'll be Obama or Clinton taking the oath on Jan 20, 2009.
Heck, even if one the repubs wins it'll be like a Democrat winning. There are no real conservatives running in this race. This could be the end of conservative influence in the gop.

Take the Pledge
All Presidential Candidates should make pledges like those below. If they
refuse, then you should refuse to vote for them.
1. No More Oil Wars.
2. Work for independence from foreign oil on day one.
3. No more wars for corporate profit.
4. No more secret deals for $4 per gallon gas.
5. No more Chicken Hawks promoting wars of choice when they themselves avoided combat.
6. Make government green--if you can't make what you have the most control over
green, I don't care about your plans to make the country green.
7. No more torture.
8. No more lying about torture.
9. No more re-defining torture.
10. No more drunken hunting.
11. No more secret deals with big corporations to divide up the spoils before the war even starts.
