Imus gratuitly insults people from his podium and now we must forgive him for his racist remarks.

Racist, bigots, homophobes, xenophobes etc are entitled to harbor whatever feeling they choose to HOWEVER as a society we cannot permit that these people use the public forum to spout their hate.

IF you hate other humans due to your prejudices and ignorance,so be it,justify Imus moronic statements as acceptable in the name of free speech or whatever lame excuse one chooses to use.

Forgiveness is an over rated word, the Roman Catholic Church recently published a public statement "regreting" the previous historical abuse of the Church, well those burned alive by the Catholic Inquisition were victims of vicious punishment, the Church "regrets" are cheap talk to excuse unacceptable behavior.

Imus failed to understand that his warped comments are not funny, nor acceptable.Forgiveness is reserved for the Final Judgement.

We don't have a culture problem per-se what we got is a media driven, black raciest driven problem.

Imus trying to a smart ars and as usual blabs out something stupid as usual and that extrapolates into the black racists blaming the entire white population of being raciest. The liberal media loves it and the Jesse Jacksons of the world promote it. The media is controversy driven, but incredibly the black racists can say or do anything and the media never questions it because it may not be politically correct.

We as a culture did not create this problem. The problem was created by the politically motivated to divide people for votes. What better way to do that than to pit the blacks against the whites and the poor against the rich . . .

To be politically incorrectI am now feeling raciest against black racists which there seem to be plenty of these days. This was something I never thought of before so I guess divisive liberal politics really works.

I'm no Imus fan, but it seems funny to fire a shock jock for being a shock jock.

If Imus isn't your cup of tea, turn the dial. If rap music isn't your thing, don't listen to it. As appalling as these two elements are, the prospect of Rev Sharpton setting up shop as a speech czar appalls me far worse

Keep rallying behind the insulting shock-monger. As he goes down, down, down...
