Impeachment as Political Solution to the Iraq War

Politics – Improperly framing Iraq as a war benefits those responsible for it and obscures the clearest path to a saner future. If instead Iraq was framed as the armed assault that it was (billed as "Shock and Awe"), there is a logical, expedient political solution at our disposal - impeachment.

I dunno... I don't think impeachment is appropriate here. Maybe if Condi gave Bush a BJ it'd be proper, but this just seems like a waste of our nation's time and money.

Thanks got the picture now I'm feeling ill.

If the whole rotten bunch isn't impeached then I hope we go after them when they are out of office. They shouldn't be allowed to just walk away.

avatar
Reply

Why? Clinton did.

avatar
Reply

Did he? Can you cite chapter and verse of just what specifically it was that he "got away" with or is this simply another one of your pathetic attempts to start a fire where none exists?

avatar
Reply

Well they stole 200yr old furniture out of the whitehouse upon their departure. But gee, that was a mistake, they thought it was theirs.

avatar
Reply

Really? I didn't hear about that, that's horrible!

avatar
Reply

One of the computer companies also had to send like 2000 C buttons for their computers because when the staff left they all stole the "C" keys and the "B" keys, for memories they claimed? I forget how much that cost.

...and of course there is a list of I forget how many names of people who supposed committed suicide, were killed, or mysteriously vanished during the Clinton Administration, more so than the 4 previous Administrations, including Nixon. Obviously anyone who disagreed with them, did any investigation into WhiteWater, the TravelGate, and the ZipperGate scandals were on that list. You didn't criticize Clinton or anyone on his staff within earshot...you connect the dots. A dead man or woman cannot testify against you. Just ask Vince Foster?

...and I'm not a Republican nor a Democrat.

Did they? - You have actual proof that this really took place?

Care to provide some concrete evidence or is this simply more wishful whining those of you on the far right are so good at!

avatar
Reply

Wow, Democrats is startin to git fired up and passionate bout this sityation!!

Now they is talkin bout usin our prefered method of parliamentary governance - IMPEACHMENT!!

Governin by impeachment is how we handeld them Clintons.!

It just irked us to no end that you Americans voted for somebody we dint liek. It dint matter that he was an effective presdient. We just dint liek him. So we impeached.

We started with that bogus White Water story - had our media operatives report on the 'scandal' ever ding dong day - until - (glory halliluia) Billy boy gave us the angle we always needed SEX!!

You know we spent $150 Million dollors of tax payer money goin after them Clintons.

But now you democrats are talkin about impeachment Bush! WE impeached Clinton just because we hated im. But you liberals is talkin bout impeachment for an almost willful official incompetence, misleadin the public on important issues and such.

Imagine that!

and what did Clinton do, other than raise our taxes? I am not aware of anything.

welfare reform

avatar
Reply

Now there are even more people on welfare who simply refuse to work, refuse to learn, not that they cannot but they refuse to because its too easy to get the freebies?

He demonstated before America, educated young children, who now know what to do with a fine cigar?

If you back up the trolley, you'll find Clinton started this war in Afghanistan by sending a clandestine strike force to take out Bin Laden, but then old Madyln Albright convinced him to call Pakistan and warn them we were coming several days in advance. Obviously Laden left the camp, being warned by Pakistan loyalists, then he declared war on America. If you back it up even further you will see it was Jimmy Carter's failed policies in Iran which have helped this bloodshed appear. They were never punished for taking our embassy and 50 hostages, and we had to send in our own forces to get them out.

The only thing I see here is wackso who hate Bush so bad they're willing to trash their own countrymen. They will believe enemy terrorists over the testimony of their own soldiers. They're simply filled with hate.

protoham---Clinton left us with a surplus, since you inquired.

protoham----"I am not aware of anything"

Well said.

avatar

No really they did, this is not in dispute by anyone on either side. They also ripped all of the "w" keys off of all of the computer keyboards among other things...

avatar
Reply

Then provide come concrete evidence! You do have some don't you?

avatar
Reply

We Conservatives dont have to provide any proof for these kinds of storys!

We say it, we believes it, and thats all there is to it.

We also believe that the world is going to end with Trumpets blarin on Christmas day, 2002.

avatar
Reply

Oh, I wuz just tole that the world dint end on Christmas day 2002.

See, the libural media kept this story from gettin on the air.

Is all you can do ask ask for proof? Does it need to be notarized too? Keep up with the news and you would alreadt know about it. Send me proof about the Iraq war being illegal. It has to come registered mail with two Republican attestments of veracity. You whiners on the far left are incorrigable.

avatar
Reply

So its ok to make claims based on what we heard instead of asking for concrete evidence. You attempt to declare bad things done by the Clintons based on things people should know and yet attack that as illogical when applied to bad things done by the Bushes.

avatar
Reply

No it's not all I ask for and it doesn't need be notarized - just credible and far more substantial than the half-truth, innuendo, and lies that flow from the mouths of the neocon right in a steady stream!

In any debate if you make a claim and state it as a fact then you had better be prepared to back it up with something more substantial that your mouth!

Please show me where, specifically, in any UN Resolution it directly authorized the United States to attack Iraq - and yes in this case I want chapter and verse!

avatar
Reply

I agrees whiners!!

It should be proof plenty that we passionately angry Christians say it.

We got reems and reems of documented charges against them Clintons - both fabricated and factual. And the factual is some of the best facts our fabricaters can fabricate!

Remember, it aint lyin if you is lyin in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ - a card carryin member of the Republican party!

avatar
Reply

"Is all you can do ask ask for proof? Does it need to be notarized too? "

Even if you provided this they would not believe it because it doesn't fit their truth.

Many of us that are not Republicans nor Democrats were quite grateful when the white trash left the white house. We no longer had to explain what not having sex with that woman meant, nor what brand of cigar he smoked, nor if some of the staff who were supposed to be women were really males or used to be? Clinton was an embarrassment to this nation. After he left the white house he was disbarred in Arkansas, but why should he care? He gets over $700,000 a year in income, thanks to the scandal and lies told by both sides.

The truth is that he should have been impeached or should have resigned. Like him or not at least Nixon had the integrity and loved his country enough to do so when he did. They would never have been able to impeach him either.

I'm not a Republican nor a Democrat but this is truth.

The final, official report from the Government Accounting Office, released on June 11, 2002, did not confirm all of Fleischer's allegations, but did state that the damage included the loss of 62 computer keyboards, 26 cell phones, two cameras, 10 antique doorknobs and several presidential medallions.

Goodness! Is that the thanks we Christian Conservatives git for spendin $150 Million dollors impedin Clinton for 8 years - shuttin down the goverment - and paradin him around the world as a sexual perverter??

Its a good thing that liburals dont control media - cause with our right wing perverts - theyd be a scandal ever day!!!

they pulled all that and now they are running for the Presidency again........seems to me they got away with everything........Slick Willy..... it amazes me how many

people continue to worship at the altar of the Clintons

Dont worry pac man!!

While theres lots o Americans 'worshipin at the Clintons alter' - for ever one of them - theres at least 10 of us Christian Conservatives worshipin at the alter of Clinton Hate!!

And our Hate is much more powerful than their worship - cause its based in Biblical scripture and our vision of a vengeful God that does our political bidding.

Amen!

Vice President Dick Cheney's stock options in Halliburton rose from $241,498 in 2004 to over $8 million in 2005, an increase of more than 3,000 percent, as Halliburton continues to rake in billions of dollars from no-bid/no-audit government contracts.

An analysis released by Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) reveals that as Halliburton's fortunes rise, so do the Vice President's. Halliburton has already taken more than $10 billion from the Bush-Cheney administration for work in Iraq. They were also awarded many of the unaccountable post-Katrina government contracts, as off-shore subsidiaries of Halliburton quietly worked around U.S. sanctions to conduct very questionable business with Iran.

http://lautenberg.senate.gov/newsroom/record.cf...

Clinton's actions never resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people including over 3000 US soldiers.

Deny and deflect all you like - its a Bush Cheney defense and very, very slimy.

As Bill once said - blow me!

avatar
Reply

Cheney's ties with Haliburton have been out in the open for all to see unlike all of Clintons shady dealings........when defending Bill Clinton I would be careful about who you call slimy......as they say the pot calling the kettle black

Who gives a S*** about the f***ing pot calling the damn kettle black, that is THE most overused and flawed piece of S*** I have ever happened upon. Use some f***ing logic for crying out loud, if I smoke and say smoking is that does that mean smoking is good? Of course not. This isn't just primarily directed towards you but every scheisskopf that uses that illogical crap.

apparently you do

its funny that you should bring up smoking in defending Bill 'I didn't inhale' Clinton,

Wow I'm not defending Clinton or anyone. The whole idea of hypocrisy equals wrong is idiocy. You're an idiot if you use the pot and kettle crap, simply an idiot. I'm not going to bother to go in depth at all seeing how you should be able to figure out why the whole idea is flawed in 5 minutes with simple reasoning.

Lautenberg is one to talk. I worked for that B&89*&^&*(*( many years ago at ADP. He is a real jerk and no I did not vote for him.

And we seem to forget Ruby Ridge and WACO, which happened on American Soil. The Clintons have much blood on their hands.
