Senator Obama is going to spend quite a bit of time defending himself, his level of experience, his new brand of politics, etc... He's already doing it, and the Right wingers haven't even started in on him yet. If he thinks he can go around, saying, "can't we all get along", without the right wingers attacking him and his ideas he's nuts.
You can ask Dukakis, Gore, and Kerry about that. New politics is nonsense.
Politics is politics, and 08 will be a slugfest, especially with conservatives fighting to hold on.
