Was it just me, or did her head look too big for her body? I wanted to whack the side of my monitor and watch her head bob back and forth.

That's what scares me the most - the George Soros connection.

Does anybody remember what Moveon.org was about originally?

"Well, remember what MoveOn.org's original purpose was? It was founded to attack any Republican who dared stand against the Clinton machine during the former President's impeachment and trial in the Senate for perjury and obstruction of justice.

"Since then, MoveOn.org has branched out. They opposed military action in Afghanistan after September 11, 2001. After the 2004 elections, the group's director said "Now it's our party: we bought it, we own it, and we're going to take it back."

"To do that, they have funded radical, far-left candidates in races across the country - even against moderate Democrats who understand the stakes in the War on Terror."

avatar
Reply

"And, of course, they have attacked the patriotism and loyalty of our men and women in uniform. Not many people, even Democrats, dared to defend MoveOn.org in the wake of its attack on General Petraeus.

"But if Bill and Hillary Clinton understand anything, it's political payback. MoveOn.org attacks their enemies, so they're attacking MoveOn.org's enemies. If it teaches us anything, it's that the Clintons haven't changed one bit since the 1990s.

"Is that what we want back in the White House: Bill and Hillary once again using the power of the federal government to defend their friends and attack their enemies?"

Maybe we can look forward to another round of Clinton pardons.

Excellent article. I don't have a problem with a female becoming President, but I do have a problem with Hillary Clinton being President. I agree with the characteristics the article says a could candidate should possess, and if any candidate like that, male or female, comes along I'll be more than happy to vote for her/him.

"1. A person of integrity and high morals. 2.Protector of traditional American family values. 3. Knowledgeable of world affairs, leaders, and political nuances. 4. Capable of earning the respect of American men and women in uniform and leading same as commander-in-chief. 5. Dedicated to the national defense and homeland security. 6. Patriotic, to a fault. 7. An unabashed "America First" zealot. 8. Obsessed with the rule of law, including enforcement of all laws. 9. Not smitten with the idea that he/she is personally above the law. 10. Uses competence rather than diversity in staffing decisions. 11. Fiscally prudent. Believes in low taxes, small government. 12. Strong proponent of American sovereignty, culture and language. 13.Dedicated to ending and reversing illegal immigration."

I agree with you Brettodactyl, with the one exception of the last one: if it is illegal, it is not immigration. (Gender is NOT on the list!)

The ole sexist card won't sway me on this one. I don't like her political views; it would matter not if she were a man. One day, when the woman for the job comes along I will vote for her, Hillary just isn't the one that would garner my vote. Add to the fact that the same two families have been taking turns mucking up the nation for almost twenty years now, I feel it's time to see a president with a different last name in charge.

I would have no problem voting for a woman. Lady Thatcher comes to mind as an excellent model of leadership. I simply do not see anyone running that fits that criterion or any of the other criteria that I consider in choosing a candidate.

While a woman President would be a bonus, the only thing better would be one that was neither Rep. or Dem. because if either of these got elected all the woes of c l i t. or shrub would be their fault. And whether a BJ and the financial support of friends by c l i t . is equal to the contracts given to hallibortion and friends by shrub won't solve the problems that will face them.

Face it, the last 25 years of Presidents have done more to divide your country than unite it

Well what I see is different than your view. The last 16-18 years have been Bush or Clinton and they are the two figure heads of your two party system and neither one has brought your nation together. Now add a dash of Carter, Nixon and Reagen so I think you are wrong.

While the Kennedy-Nixon race was a close dirty campaign,at least Kennedy did get USA together for a race to the moon, and when Neil made it I think it was the last time America stood together.

Hey, Hannibal, how are you? I disagree with you on part of this. I think America was united after 9/11. Then the Great Divider squandered his international good will and America's unity when he went after the wrong perpetrators. What a wasted opportunity. Say all that you want about Hillary, and while I'm not sure that I back her, I still think that she may be mean and aggressive enough to be an effective politician.

Cactus Annie, since you negged me, would you care to refute my comment?

Hi yourself mcgrievsr: Yes 9/11 was a rallying point, but it soon fell apart as it was based on what America is/was not, lies.

Hillary has too much baggage in my opinion and I am not referring only to her husband, though he is a millstone on his own, she has too be one bitter person and would be a worrisome character if ever elected.

Forty years ago there was little difference between the parties. There were liberals, moderates, and conservatives in both parties. Goldwater pulled the Republicans to the right and Kennedy-Johnson pulled the Democrats to the left. As time went on the conservative "Solid South" of the Democrats moved to the Republicans and liberals were pulled to the Democrats. At that point the Candidates would play to the base of their party and be more centrist for the general election. In comes moveon.org and a close Busch win and the rhetoric has become nasty from the left with some reaction on the right as well.

Politics has become very divisive in order to play to the base. I just wish they would passionately discuss the issues and not the people. Hate speech seems to rule a lot of the left.

Since you acknowledge some smear from the right I won't have to mention the Swiftboaters. I want to compliment you on a lucid comment.

If a candidate earns my respect then they have my vote. Hillary has yet to do so but I'd vote for Condi in a hot sec. So far none of the candidates has even an iota of respect from me.

I personaly don't care if the next president is male, female, transgender, white, black, red, yellow, plaid or purple with lime green polkadots. I want someone who' got the moxy to do the job while representing the values of the majoririty of AMERICA, not just the values of moveon.org.

So far, Clinton ain't my gal. Too bad Condi just will not run.

What America "needs" is to grow up & start considering the talent, the background, the knowledge, the contributions, the intelligence, and the abilities of the candidates.
