Op Ed: Hillary Needs to "Man Up" »
Posted By ZiegfeldGirl 1 year ago in NewsWhen you're leading the Democratic presidential race you might expect the other candidates to focus criticism your way. Yet the spin coming out of the Clinton campaign is that the men were ganging up on Hillary. Sorry, but when girls insist on playing hardball with the boys, they don't get to cry foul (or change the game to dodge ball).

"Not that Hillary Clinton did any whining herself following Tuesday night's Democratic presidential debate in Philadelphia. She's too smart for that. But somehow the idea magically surfaced that the men were piling on.
The New York Times reported that Clinton's campaign officials tried to create sympathy for Hillary the same way they did when Republican Rick Lazio confronted her during their 2000 Senate race. A Clinton adviser told the Washington Post that, "Ultimately, it was six guys against her, and she came off as one strong woman." A headline on the Drudge Report said: "Scorn: As the Men Gang Up."
Piffle."
First she's the strong Amazonian woman who is JUST as tough as any man in the race...and then she's the poor little fragile female, ganged up on by the big mean boys, wah, wah, wah! Hillary is just not as slick as her hubby. The voters do not appreciate duality, just ask John Kerry.
Obama for the Democratic Nominee! No more Clintons!

The only way Hillary will be looked on with respect is if she has Bill neutered. It is the only way the white house aides will be safe from this sexual predator.
There is actually a very simple operation, that when done as early as possible, can virtually eliminate the risk of prostate cancer in males when they get older. Once you're through having children it's really an option to consider, in other words no further need for procreation, but most males won't submit themselves to becoming eunuchs. It does I'm told work quite well and an older woman prefers their companionship. He's no longer hung up of EDS Dysfunction and taking dangerous drugs, which may actually bring on the onset of prostate problems. The operation takes less than half an hour to complete!
I say let's neuter Bill then vote for Hillary!

If you followed my posts in the last few weeks, you would notice that I put out a story on the Bilderberg group. Most people think the story is conspiracy, but i think otherwise. It appears that these people would like to see a North American free trade zone. This would give us the same currency and a blurring of the borders in North America. The President and all leading contenders for the Presidency from Reagan and Bill Clinton and before know about the details of this plan. Why did Bush try to push for a Amnesty program? Why are we even having a discussion on the legality of driver licenses for illegal aliens? It's because the stage has been set from some very, very powerful people in the world to implement this "New world order". Rupert Murdoch is part of the Bilderberg group. This story shows the relationship between the two.

I won't. I repeat won't vote for Hillary in the upcoming Primary. I will vote for someone that protects the constitution and tries to repair our world image. Hillary is brought and paid for. Just as Lieberman was in 2006. She is trying to take the middle ground between the ultra -right wing and the progressive in this country. Where does that place her positions? Probably just to the left of regular conservatives in this country. She's not liberal, she's not progressive, she's not right wing. she's somewhere in the middle. The problem is that our country's politics have slid far to the right. So taking the middle ground skews the graph and places her to the right on some issues. On other issues she may be closer to the left. She would do fine against all those world leaders you mentioned. Remember she already would be bargaining from a place of advantage, America the one and only superpower in the world.

If the girls want to play with the boys, then they should expect to get just as dirty.
You know, this is an interesting subject and an interesting topic in general. If a woman (girl) wants to compete with the men (boys) should that be allowed? If I wanted to play volleyball, but they didn't offer it for men, should I throw a conniption like some women have when they wanted to wrestle or play football?
I am a VERY strong supporter of women having exactly the same rights as men, but politics is the American bloodsport and if you can't stand the heat you need to stay out of the kitchen. So to speak.

It is an interesting subject, and one my husband gets very worked up over. He believes women should absolutely have equal rights, equal pay, etc, but it irks him that they throw a fit over being a member at Augusta, or force a Boy Scout troop to include a girl, but they will not let him join Curves. Not that he really wants to, of course, but if they are going to insist on strong-arming their way into EVERYTHING in a man's world, then why doesn't it work the other way?

I don't know. That's the short answer. The longer one, of course, is that everyone should be able to have clubs or groups that are private in membership. It's kind of like asking why there isn't an NAAWP. Or a United Caucasian College fund. Same kind of deal. Or why it's okay for a black man to call a woman a 'ho', but it is unacceptable if, say, a radio personality does it.
It should be all about respecting each other and also respecting the fact that there are differences between us. Men, women, black, white, Asian, hispanic. We're all people, but we are all different too.

i am also for women having the same rights as men but that dosent mean they should be treated differently. what i mean by that is this, Exp: I work in a lumberyard i load wood and concrete into the customers trucks and cars or trailors, i think women should be allowed to do this also , BUT i do not think they should get out of lifting the Concrete mix bags just because they are too heavy, if you can not lift the 60 lb bags then you cant do the job, is that wrong, I dont think so because what do you think would happen if i couldnt do the job effectivly without help ??? I wouldnt have the job, So if hillary cant take the heat from the guys then how will she handle the heat from the WORLD.

She's trying to play the victim card because she got cooked in the debate. It's worked before.

But she's NOT playing the victim card, as ZG correctly pointed out at the start of the string. She's not doing any whining at all. And what's one of the major touchstones of "manly" behavior if not "taking it like a man" when you lose?

FTA: "and Tim Russert were also accused of joining the pile-on, especially Russert, who kept pounding Hillary for straight answers when she tended to "bridge" to other topics."
In fact, a senior Media Matters For America guy had an article suggesting that Russert should be tossed out as a presidential debate moderator...go figure.

Lets see. Politicians and direct answers to questions? Hum. Sounds like an oxymoron to me.

Is this a proper question to ask a Presidential candidate? If so, why, Bkumm?
This had to be the most aggravating question during the Dartmouth debate, both in its implication and in sheer unconstitutional glory. Moderator Tim Russert asks the Democratic presidential contenders to name their favorite Bible verse.
Um, Tim, are you trying to say that Democrats need to prove their faith? Nice Republican framing there. And on whole other level, are you confirming the mindset that only practicing Christians should be eligible for the presidency? What if there was a Jew, Buddhist or a *gasp* atheist on that stage? Would that question be considered appropriate then?---Crooks and Liars

ROFLMAO!!! Seriously? Wow, they(Media Matters and the Clinton Machine) really just want to crown her and carry her dainty Highness all the way to the White House, don't they? I don't know what is wrong with them. She has been preparing for this her entire life, how is it that she can't handle a debate???
