Administration To Provoke New "Pearl Harbor" in Persian Gulf »
Posted by: jaspersneed 10 months agoThe Bush administration has covered up and ignored dissenting Pentagon war games analysis that suggests an attack on Iran's nuclear or military facilities will lead directly to the annihilation of the Navy's Fifth Fleet now stationed in the Persian Gulf.

This is very damning. From the article:
"The Bush administration is deliberately downplaying the vulnerability of the Fifth Fleet to Iran's advanced missile technology which has been purchased from Russia and China since the late 1990's. The most sophisticated of Iran's cruise missiles are the 'Sunburn' and 'Yakhonts'. These are missiles against which U.S. military experts conclude modern warships have no effective defense. By deliberately provoking an Iranian retaliation to U.S. military actions, the neoconservatives will knowingly sacrifice much or all of the Fifth Fleet. This will culminate in a new Pearl Harbor that will create the right political environment for total war against Iran, and expanded military actions in the Persian Gulf region."
There can no longer be any doubt the neocon Bush/Cheney junta is the absolute manifestation of evil. Looks like it's coming.... Cry Havoc, let slip the dogs of war.......

You damn libs have to learn to think like Neocons. The sacrifice of the Fifth Fleet, making them heroes forever, would be a small price to pay to achieve their ends. It would be better than 9/11! Think how the war economy will be stimulated when those ships, missles, and planes have to be replaced. We've already given up the lives of thousands of our finest young Americans in this quest. We can't stop now. Think of the profits. Think of the stock market. Think of the glory. Think of the state of emergency that would be created to keep the present regime in power. Oh, you liberals just don't understand the use and projection of true power. All you can think of is socialist stuff like health care, education, decent wages, housing, and domestic tranquility. Neocons pity you fools.
Havoc has been cried, and the mad dogs of war have been running unleashed for some time now.

Tell you what - if you were a better student of history, you would know that this would be just one of many planned incidents. What would that unGodly sacrifice cost Bush?
"Day of Deceipt" by Robert Stinnett reveals that, my family's hero, Roosevelt knew only too well that the Japanese fleet would be at Pearl Harbor on December 7th. We HAD broken their naval code and they DID NOT maintain radio silence.
Stinnett is no loose cannon. The Freedom of Information Act
has made the documents available all these many years after
those poor souls paid such a terrible price for nothing but
the fury of the American public. That's what Roosevelt needed to get the public behind our entrance into WWII.

Would be an excellent chance to execute his chance to exercise martial law and void any chance of electing anyone to stop him. Very scary indeed.

I don't believe the US Army would obey commands from this corrupt administration to begin shooting US Citizens in the street. Another comforting fact is that there are 200 million guns in America. If it has to come to that, I know a lot of American gun owners are going Neocon hunting.

Neither Bush nor Cheney nor any of their cronies care AT ALL how many AMERICANS die - let alone how many innocent people in other countries die.
They care ONLY for their 'agenda' - which, I have concluded, is nothing less than total power and total wealth - in other words, EVIL.
And most of the country, especially Congress, is letting them get away with it. Too many Americans are too self-absorbed into their own piddly priorities like when to buy a new car or what to wear to the movies or when to buy an HD TV.
Its the fall of the Roman Empire re-run, only this time it is America ...

Hey Bubba - I agree with most of your assessment, except that most of the Americans I know, myself included, are absorbed with how the hell they're going to pay for the rising cost of EVERYTHING - gas, food, heating bills, and survive the Holiday season.
Today, the lowest gas price I've seen is 3.04 and milk at the local grocery (2%) was 3.79. Minimum wage here is 6.85/hr.So it takes a minimum wage worker to work 1 hour to be able to afford a gallon of milk and ONE gallon of gas.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. There are TENS of millions of Americans that can't afford even the basics anymore.
Unfortunately, it is the few that can afford it all that are in control of our corporations and our government. But there are tens of millions of people in the category I described about - and they don't care about anything but their own self-aborbed existence.

Something to think about, there are some strange and silly comments in this thread, but!
If you look at the info on the guy who wrote the original story, he is a nut, the title "The Neoconservative Agenda to Sacrifice the Fifth Fleet : The New Pearl Harbor" is just a hint.
The wiki page on him, shows he is a UFO nut of the first order, who besides the story above also wrote to Al Jazeera in June 06 suggesting alien intervention in order to prevent a nuclear attack on Iran by the United States of America.

Yeah, the writer's kinda kooky, but he does have a point.
I may not be a naval admiral, so I fail to see the logic in putting an entire fleet within weapons range of anti-ship missiles that cannot be shot down or defended against. It seems pretty illogical if not outright sacrificial.

How good is the research of Dr Salla (not very good) of the two missles he mentions, one isn't capable of crossing the Persian gulf to Bahrain the other (if Iran even has them) would be near its range limit over what is probably the most scanned & monitored bit of water in the world, even at the speed it is capable of the Fleet would have at least 6-8 minutes warning.
RIM-116 missles have a range of 7.5km and only purpose is to take out cruise missles of this type CIWS gattling guns have a effective range up to several km and can fire 3000 round per minute.
