On one side you have the so called "retreat and surrender" politicians. On the other side you have the "War, and think later" politicians. Instead of gloating over this, you should be saddened by the stupidity of our government. Imagine what we look like to the rest of the world. Think about it..

Grow some balls? I don't know what side of the Mason Dixon Line you live, but if you live south of it, you have no idea what it takes to live in Canada. People who live in frigid conditions definitely have way more balls than people who live in at least tepid conditions. I once lived in Dallas and when the temperature got to be 60 degrees, they all were wearing coats. What a bunch of pansies. I live in the north and I keep my thermostat at 61 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter months and I wear short sleeve shirts.

Being conservative is to conserve. Our precious troops should be put at risk when there is a clear winnable objective. We have needlessly wasted their lives. We have needlessly spent hundreds of billions of dollars. I find it ironic that our administration acts like it is holding the line on spending and it considers fiscal responsibility in its efforts in Iraq to be unimportant to taxpayers and the national debt.
When you compare the US to terrorism, poverty, ethnic cleansing, etc.. you seem to be setting the bar pretty low. There are other benchmarks to use where the US needs to work harder. We have the capability to be the best in the world. We should lead by example.

Please send your message out to the legions of welfare recipients who have been pulling in welfare checks for GENERATIONS, and to the homeless, who have at their disposal shelters, programs, clinics and people ready to help them, yet they continue to stay on the street, and the "poverty-stricken", who can't pay their rent but seem to find money for tattoos and $300 sneakers.

The excuse could be "The United States will do what's right for the United States". The same could be said for the war on drugs and many other topics. Mucho spending, little or no return. Are we agreeing that both of our examples are valid? I doubt if you will go that far. Are you a conservative of convenience? Waste is waste, be it flawed domestic or foreign policy and should be changed.
I agree that a person should not get something for nothing. Many people need help, especially our vets. Most, if not all, can contribute back though for what they are receiving. If they elect to not contribute back for their supplement, then they don't receive the supplement.

To expect anything different is naiveties at best. Congress is going to go it's own way no matter what a few bloggers think. This has always been my position, that to belabor the point and to whine and carry on accomplishes nothing (except to change the old blood pressure).
