I was already 99% in the Obama camp, but this just sealed the deal. Why no other candidate is talking much about it i do not know. The situation that has been created is draining our economy, polluting the planet, and harming our children. Not to mention giving a communist nation with no regard for human life more power and control over us and the international community.

Not sure who I'm going to favor with my one small vote. I just want a fresh wind to blow into D.C., so that basically DQ's Hillary and Dodd on the left and Rudy G & McCain on the right.

For all his good qualities, doesn't this seem a little bit politically opportunistic on Obama's part? If people are protected and safety is improved, then great. Just wondering about the political timing, because we've been bringing in Chinese goods for many years and just now we're noticing safety issues? He gets points for responding - does he have enough vision to be further out in front on issues? We need to have a broader discussion about our relationship with China and re-evaluation of policies toward this country.

For the first time in many years, I understand how the "Undecided voter" feels. Does Obama have what it takes to turn our ship of state in a new direction?

Inspections are fine. Doing them to protect the consumer is fine. Doing them as a ruse to protect jobs is not. Trade is good for the world economy and, therefore, good for the U.S. economy. Trade wars lead to real wars.
