I visited the "6th Floor Museum" in Dallas yesterday, about the third or fourth time I've been there. Every time I go, something jumps out at me that rings a bit off key. This time it was the way the sour note in the original "Taps" was glossed over by embellishing a background fugue that wasn't present when the bugler blew that somber military farewell, on that cold November morning in 1963.

It unsettled me that even attempts to clean up the musical mistake, will leave the future's memories altered.

I wonder what the official memory will be, once the 9/11 Memorial is built. Will it be ensconced in lies big and small? I don't subscribe to any one theory about historical events, and only desire as much factual information as possible. Accidents, murders, character assassinations and lost or destroyed data, do little to convince me that the story presented is in fact, the truth. "Truthers".

Hell, Christ was a truther.
