Posted By lawrencee 8 months, 1 week ago in NewsFirst, there's a crushing ABC News story about Hillary Clinton's inaction during her tenure with Wal-Mart. From the article: "The advantage has shifted back to Barack Obama รข;; thanks to a growing but largely unremarked-upon tendency among Democratic leaders to reject Hillary Clinton and her husband, the former president.">>>>
As the voters will be picking the candidate, and not the "Democratic leaders", I'm more interested in their actions for determining whether or not there is any shifting to Obama.

Guess again. Voters merely choose the candidate to be SUPPORTED BY STATE PARTY DELEGATES ON FIRST BALLOT ONLY at the national convention. After the first ballot, delegates are free to vote for whomever they want. The nomination is not determined by a simple majority. You can have a majority of delegates supporting you on first ballot and still not get the nomination. I think it is 60 percent of delegate votes needed to win the nomination, but I am not certain of that percentage. I do know it takes more than a simple majority.

Hillary's connection to Wal-Mart shows thats she is just another ordinary and ruthless politician who is willing to go against the people that she boasts about protecting, the American laborers and small business owners.
I don't know when she went over to the dark side, but I suspect it was when the insurance companies that she fought against began giving her money for her current run for office.
When Bill saw the "ring" of the presidency passed before his eyes, like Bilbo Baggens from "The Lord of the Rings" he also lunged for it like a monster possessed.
I wonder if Hillary is not much different than Gollum... she was once in the White House and wants the ring back too. Her lust for power is making her look uglier and uglier. What is she willing to do to get back the ring? Anything? That's what it looks like to me.

Hillary ALWAYS has been on the dark side. It's fairly well-known that it always has been Hillary who wanted the WHite House. Clinton knew long before he ever ran for president that he was such a sleaze it'd be nearly impossible to keep a lid on his sexual abuse of women. But old Hillary wouldn't sit still for that!!! Ohh no, she orchestrated the attacks on Bill's victims, thereby victimizing them all over again.
Hillary is NOT the person we need in the White House. Can anyone name even ONE significant thing she accomplished as a U.S. Senator. Anyone??? NO????

There are 24 states holding primaries next Tuesday. While Barak Hussein Obama is doing very well, Hillary will be the nominee. Despite what we saw last night she will claw his face off if he really threatens her throne. If she chooses him for V P it strengthens the ticket, and guarantees the black vote.

According to a NYT piece, those who knew & worked with her at WalMart state that she championed her personal causes; upward mobility for women, and the impact of WalMart on the environment. Young and inexperienced in business, apparently she was the 'token' woman (only one) on the board. I'm going to wait for more information on this before passing judgment.

Agreed on that. But 6 years on Wal-Mart's board being equated to 5 hours working for a church group partnered with a later defrocked developer? That's like claiming grand larceny is no worse than getting home late because of heavy traffic.
More spin mastering as a debate tactic. It goes to the heart of character and honesty.
I thought the answers on the Iraq war vote and particularly the vote against the Levin Ammendment was clear BS. On the war authorization, she yesterday echoed Bush in connecting Saddam with Osama Bin Laden. On Levin, she lied in claiming it would have put the UN in a veto position over the use of military force. It did no such thing. The wording of the bill specifically stated that the US Congress, not the UN, would decide the ultimate need for force after inspectors did their job.

You do know that Wal-Mark started in Arkansas? The South can't stand the union movevent. They are "right to work" states. Not everyone needs to be told where to work, and when to do it. Wal-Mart will thrive no matter who is elected. By the way, my husband gets a Union trades magazine every month, and they are advising their people to vote for whoever will help them, not necessarialy for a Democrat. They hate women, and the women's movement, and they will screw Hillary into the ground.

When you look at the special interest donations to candidates whether Republican or Democrat Hillary stands out with the most money, ill gotten. Why would anyone select a candidate that has already been purchased?
Her 35 years in D.C. has been all downhill for America with the end by product, Bush with unlimited war powers for Iraq voted support by, you know who, Hillary.
Sick of the dynasties Bush and Clinton!! Obama at least stands for hope. If not, we then rid ourselves of him and he inherits a legacy similar to what our decider in chief will have, a joke similar to Hoover's. Sorry Mr. Hoover, yes he is worse than you.
