Politics – There's a strong temptation to wonder how much minimizing Obama supporters will fill the air with today as his, what, associate/friend? Antoin "Tony" Rezko begins his trial on eight counts of aiding bribery, attempted extortion, fraud, and money laundering starts today.
"It all centers on Rezko, 52, a Syrian-born real-estate developer and fast-food tycoon who once raised thousands of dollars for both Blagojevich and Obama."

Hanna, you are correct, but Obama has presented himself as hope and change - supposedly he would be pure and above dirty politics.
I have to think that he could not have been elected to any office in Chicago without being involved in the "Chicago Political" group, which does not have a pure and honest reputation.
The last man who claimed to be pure was crucified; so I don' expect any non deity to be exempt from this either
So what he claims; actions speaks louder than words and look who got elected twice due to outside help. It all depends on which group can bribe or buy the right people, the 06 house elections prove that the people have no say; and all the woes of today can be traced back before c lit or shrubs dad so again it shows that politicians are self serving and to he ll with people

Here's the nasty, dirty detail liberals ignore: When Republicans get caught, they are ousted from party ranks, ala Mark Foley. When Dems get caught, they get promoted to power positions as has happened with the Clintons, Feinstein, Reid, Pelosi, Murtha, Barney Frank, Gary Studds, etc., etc.
That's because repugnicons are self righteous and will eat their own, while dems tend to be aware that nobody's perfect and are more willing to forgive and move on.
Actually it's because there's constantly more proof of wrongdoing and criminal activity among the RepugnantCons.

REZKO BEGINNING TO INTRUDE ON PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN

The NY Times and others have all written major pieces over the weekend on Rezko and have begun to focus on more than just the famous real estate deal where Obama got a $300,000 discount on the price of his house due to Rezko purchasing a lot next door from the same seller on the same day.
This is a transaction that still needs to be explained. But Rezko's relationship with Obama and other shady characters in the Chicago political world and how some bribery money made it into Obama's campaign will be the subject of Rezko's trial that begins today in Chicago. And it is a dead certainty that Obama's name will come up at some point."

A messy little story with a potential shelf-life of a few days.Better squeeze as much juice out of it as you can before it dries up.
This is not going to be a smoking gun whatever diligent efforts are made to spin it - even with the CAPITAL LETTER TITLE which AG added to the story in a way which obfuscated the fact that it wasn't the actual title in the rather poorly produced blog-effort from some obscure source with a fancy name and the inability to conduct a simple spell-check operation.
Compared to the financial and sexual scandals in the GOP during the last decade this registers about 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
Even AG's enthusiasm level makes this look more as if it was undertaken as a neccessary chore than as a labour of love, joy, triumph or even devotion.
