Ask Tough Questions? Yes, They Can!

Politics – It took many months and the mockery of "Saturday Night Live" to make it happen, but the lumbering beast that is the press corps finally roused itself from its slumber Monday and greeted Barack Obama with a menacing growl.

"The day before primaries that could effectively seal the nomination for him, a smiling Obama strode out to a news conference. But the grin was quickly replaced by the surprised look of a man bitten by his own dog.

Reporters from the AP and Reuters went after him for his false denial that a campaign aide had held a secret meeting with Canadian officials over Obama's trade policy. A trio of Chicago reporters pummeled him with questions about the corruption trial this week of a friend and supporter. The New York Post piled on with a question about him losing the Jewish vote.

Obama responded with the classic phrases of a politician in trouble. "That was the information that I had at the time . . .Those charges are completely unrelated to me . . .I have said that that was a mistake . . .The fact pattern remains unchanged."

When those failed, Obama tried another approach. "We're running late," the candidate said, and then he disappeared behind a curtain."

Better Obama felt like Captian Kirk. He was boldly going where he had NEVER been before! Into a question and answer secession with an agress and slightly hostile media. HONEYMOON OVER?

the right wing canadians set obama up by inviting someone that worked on his campaign to talk...with canada supplying a good amount of our oil,of course the campaign rep didnt want to ruffle feathers....the canadian govt offered a retraction only after they were called out in their parliment for trying to influence an american election...but u prob didnt see that on msm

snl was funny but its portrayal was completely inacurrate, hillary has enjoyed the media support all along

after iowa and the huge win at the caucuses the coverage was all about hillary crying, not a word about obama and his policys

after 11 straight wins obama still gets no coverage EXCEPT when the msm is attacking him...the news isnt the news anymore, they dont show us anything, they show pundit after pundit that trys to get the american peops to accept results they know rnt accurate..like hillarys win in nh

theres no paper in ohio to count so look for a big hillary win there (i hope im wrong)

Are you trying to say that a Democrat would cheat in an election if there is no paper trail? OMG and I thought only Republicans were capable of something that evil!

Kinda reminds me of the Clintons in Arkansas.

A democrat with repugnicon roots just might...like Hillary Rodham Clinton. She grew up under her dad's influence, and I'm sure she learned a thing or two from him.

Everything,

I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but Obama is from the same cloth as Bush and they work for the same people, but so does Hillary, but I think Hillary is at least on the good side of evil if you will. You see, the evil Bankers (illuminati) also takes sides in how they want things to turn out, so there is always a "better of two evils" evil sides.

Obama is on CFR, so was Clinton, both are "Bilderbergers", both won't put a fork in NAFTA, both say they like health care, both say they want to end the war. The difference is Hillary will end the war, I believe Barrack will continue spreading across the globe as he said many times that the world needs policing, and that our nation is no longer safe from simple borders and national boundaries. Ok, you know all those conspiracy theories that all these presidents are blood related in some way? Well it's no joke. And probably not ludicrous to say related to royalty, it actually starts to make sense then...

The movie below is what I call good investigating reporting, unedited by the lying media scum, while in truth, the author provides his view merely from events that took place, evidence we have on video and records of where people come from and who they associate with and deal with to get where they are, THIS IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE! Because if they did something wrong before, they will abuse that power when in office, I mean didn't this just happen on the other side?

The movie is also ten minutes, but will be the best ten minutes you will spend trust me. I am also telling you to do your own research and don't believe everything you see, but the movie gives links and things to research.

We must all be very influential to people to first make sure Obama doesn't win, I think the lesser of two evils works. INFORM PEOPLE!

A little more info and history on the CFR, this is the sh!t people, so take the time to understand it, then teach your kids and their kids about it.

This is why our media is controlled, and well... it's the core I believe of what this nation should be learning about so that we can fix this hell hole of a government.

Being informed with the right unbiased information is the only way to do it.

And what money do you think all these other guys take? Hell even the man I would actually vote for, Ron Paul, who has voted against every war we've had, still got most of his money from military contractors? Even if you're the the best candidate since sliced bread, you won't have a chance in hell of winning unless you have money, and unfortunately, we have allowed the corporate world to fund our nominations, with very little accountability from what I can see. The whole process breeds corruption, because politicians help other politicians to further an agenda, and then expect to be taken care of for their contribution. It all starts with people who have money, and the people who want it, the rich media guys buy the politicians, and in return they appropriate funds for them, or tax them less, or not at all, and in return the media favors who they support...

Now throw in Big Pharma, Big Oil, Commodities, Stocks and even Currency, and you have every wealthy person on the planet with a stake in who gets elected, literally. Because if certain things go their way on Capitol Hill during a president's tenure, it could mean gaining or losing billions of dollars to a corporation. Now if this were all about national interest it would be one thing, but believe it or not, Obama is related Cheney and Bush, they are cousins. Bush Sr. and Jr. are directly related to Queen Elizabeth II. So is Blair and Jimmy Carter.

So my friend, to be honest, I believe it doesn't matter who you vote for, because one wealthy family losing millions of dollars because of the wrong person in office just simply won't happen, losing the money would be a far greater risk then to worry about what consequences it might have for Americans...

I don't like Hillary, nor MCcain, but I'd vote for either over Obama. I want this British royal scum out of our administration, they have killed this country, but what I am realizing, is that we were never really a free nation after 1776.

Find any history you can on the CFR and the Trilateral Commission, and you will see what I am talking about.

"An aide called out 'last question,' and Obama made his move for the exit -- only for reporters to shout after him in protest."

Ahhh yes!!! The famous phrase meant to pull politicians out of the fire they're in over their heads. Clearly, the Obama camp never bothered to even consider he might one day have to answer real questions. You can bet the bank he'll be better prepared next time, but don't expect any real answers.

That was the information that I had at the time .

WOW that sounds like something we've heard before,,,, WMDs anyone?

Well you know if you hold someone to a standard of them being able to 'know' all the facts before deciding a plan of action. SHouldn't you be held to the same standard?

"The question is, "Why did they wait this long?""

Because he's not a Republican.

No, its because to many liberals he's Jesus H Christ himself!

Its gotten so rediculous I laugh out loud at some of the things I hear "news anchors" say in his favor on a nightly basis.

The main stream media should be ashamed of their partisan coverage. The fact that its Democrat on Democrat crime is the only thing that makes it tollerable...for now.

Never have the news media given such favorable press to such a lightweight.

Don't forget Jimmy Carter's landslide win following very positive press coverage. Another very pleasant guy. Obama's slogan "change we can believe in" says it all, I think.

avatar
Reply

Jimmy Carter won 50.1% of the popular vote. That's a landslide? Oh, you mean the electoral college! He won that 297 to 240 ( 57). That's a far cry from a landslide. Most of the people I knew who voted for Carter did so only because Ford pardoned Nixon.

What are landslides? Nixon, 1972 won 60.7% of the popular vote, and won electoral vote 520 to 17 ( 503). Reagan ran against an incumbent president as did Carter. Even though he won only 50.7% of the popular vote, he won the electoral vote 489-49 ( 440) which would classify it as a landslide. His popular vote in '84 was 58.8%, electoral vote margin, 512.

As far as the article, we'll see how the press treats Obama when (if?) he secures the nomination.

Then why the aggressive approach by the media against Hillary Clinton?

The correct answer to the question is:

Because the media want him to be the Democrat candidate. Then they'll pounce, in order to ensure another Repub president.

avatar
Reply

hahaha

If you think the media in this country wants a Republican president...I have some ocean front property for sale in Kentucky.

avatar
Reply

Even though the main media is democratic, their wish is for a close contest. The closer the contest, the more people watch the coverage, which equals higher ratings, and higher profits.

The media may be liberal and democrat, but the profits are all that matter.

avatar

So of course Fox (Obama's biggest cheerleaders, to name just one) wants a Democrat president? Laughable.

avatar

Gee AG. I made a comment yesterday about this very topic. The media will wake up but suggested money and ratings are a good wake up call. Maybe there's other reasons also.

Democrats had Sen Biden, Sen Dodd, Gov Richardson, any one with more experience, and political leadership than their Messiah. It is too late for them now. The media will have a field day with this guy. It is not because they didn't know about him, they didn't want Americans to know about him. When information began coming in from Europe they couldn't ignore it any longer. What a hoot.

I hear Kenya has demanded an apology from Hillary Clinton for airing that photo of Obama in his garb of his Father's land.

If Obama doesn't win look out for Kenyan reprisals.

avatar
Reply

Typical. You don't even have the common decency to get the facts straight.

The garb was Somali not Kenyan. And post a link to where the Kenyans are demanding an apology from Senator Clinton.

Biden's attitude is a turn-off. Richardson has some smarts and experience, but he's not political or colorful enough. Dodd never made it off the runway.

So how long do you think they'll keep asking tough questions? Also, are they asking the right ones? I'm still interested in what his Granny might have to say about, Barak Hussan Obama.

"I don't think it's fair to suggest somehow that we've been trying to hide the ball on this," Obama answered. But this only provoked a noisy back-and-forth between Sun-Times and CBS. "How many fundraisers? Who was there? Disclosure of the closing documents?"

Obama, while repeating that it was "a boneheaded move" to do business with Rezko, tried to shut down the requests for more information. "These requests, I think, could just go on forever. "At some point, what we need to do is respond to what's pertinent."

But reporters had a different idea of what was pertinent, and the questions about Rezko, NAFTA and other unpleasant subjects continued to come. An aide called out "last question," and Obama made his move for the exit - only for reporters to shout after him in protest. "C'mon, guys," he pleaded. "I just answered, like, eight questions."

The questioning, however, has only just begun."

"The questioning, however, has only just begun"

Has it?

If Obama knocks Hillary out tonight, tough questioning of Obama by the press will benefit the Republicans, not Obama's defunct Democratic rivals.

They can't have that, can they? ;-)

My bet - Hillary will keep going. There is blood in the water and Hillary will be motivated to go for the kill.

If more comes out about Obama the Super Delegates will abandon him. There is nothing to keep them from changing their minds. Of course they will claim it is in the best interest of the Democratic Party

The press wants to keep both Democrats in the primaries. What else would they have to write about until the conventions?

avatar
Reply

You're clairvoyant - Hillary has won Ohio, and is leading in Texas. There's about 4 weeks between now and the Pennsylvania primary - more than enough time to for the press to put Teflon Obama under the microscope.

avatar

Obama's NAFTA-gate is going to hurt him in PA.

I wouldn't be surprised to see that it hurt him among union members in Ohio - the labor union endorsements in Ohio didn't help after word got out about it

The red phone ad from Clinton only ran in TX. It played well here. NAFTA was not a big issue here because it has helped many border towns boom

Who knows what is going to come out about his buddy Rezko

Certainly is going to be interesting
