Do you know who these Superdelegates are? They are Union leaders, and party dupes like those from the old days of choosing the nominee in smoke-filled rooms. In other words Obama could go into the Convention with the popular vote, and more election delegates, and still lose the nomination. The Democrats are just as corrupt today as they have always been. So much for that level playing field.

Agreed, but this was exactly the purpose of superdelegates; if the Democratic oters are about to nominate another McGovern, the party would have the ability to step in and save them from disaster.

Can they save them from 2 disasters? On the second ballot could they choose, say, Al Gore?He is as qualified as Hillary. Probably more so.

Actually, Democratic rules make even "pledged" delegates free agents - they can vote for whomever they want. I think the DNC could do a lot better than Gore, though.

The super delegates will be a real problem to the American people. BHO and HRC will promise them all kinds of goodies, goodies paid for with our paychecks. The will ensure no fiscal responsibility from the democrats.
