FTA:

"This idea that there is a conflict between experience and change is just bull," Bill Clinton said.

To date, other than being the wife of a president, i still don't know how Bill or Hillary can make this statement. Age is the only factor that gives her 'more experience', IMO!

I have added another person to my Dem shiit list... PA Gov Ed Rendell, someone I respected in the past. After hearing him speak last night he showed himself to be nothing more than an election cheat. He wants to change the rules agreed to in MI and FLA and not only that but he said that caucuses will not be acceptable only primaries...what an a$$!

Lot of bigots in Pa from things i have read lately. I lived in Pa for 7 years and wouldn't have thought so, but who knows what's really going on in peoples minds?

I'm gonna stay above your comment about Hillary n2n.Notice I say above and not on top of.LOL

This is where we disagree.A lifetime in the legal arena,a two term senator, eight years in the white house as first lady under extremely stressful conditions. Not a bad resume if i was looking for experience.

Personally i would go for Hillary over Obama because of that. She knows the the ins and outs of the office, has met the world leaders, knows what the situation room is,and has a husband that is a great politician.

If we were at peace i'd say Obama, but unfortunately we aren't, and i have to go with the more experienced of the two.

Make no mistake in my comments though. If Obama gets the nod i will support him 100%.We can't afford to follow the path that bush boy has put us on,the same path that McCain would follow.

It's almost a win, win baddad, and although i support Obama, if Hillary gets the nod, i will support her 100% as well.

Hillary's "First Lady" experience. Turns out that the Northern Ireland peace accord she claims credit for was negoitiated almost entirely by others. She showed up to lend credence to the backing of the White House only. A mere photo-op. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/200...

And then there is her claim that she visited Bosnia when it too dangerous for Americans. This calls up images of Hillary singlehandedly calming the forces of evil and bringing a brutal war to an end. Sadly, the fact of the matter is quite different. She was really a part of a USO visit with Comedian Sinbad and singer Sheryl Crow. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=...

Oh well, if you deeply hanker for yet another president who uses lies and spin to get everything they lust for, vote for Hillary. She's just that in spades.

When she shows up on an aircraft carrier with a sign that states "mission accomplished",then i will worry. At least,to her credit, she has been out of the country and met these people.I remember bush boy saying that before he became president that the only time he had been out of the country was to Mexico, and that was to get drunk. That was part of the resume that got him elected. Is Hillary worse than that?

Hillary thinks she's calling the shots in this race, imagine the nerve of the second place candidate offering the frontrunner a VP position.Today Obama put her in her place by bringing up Bill Clintons statements about what he thinks are the qualifications for a VP,he said that a VP should be able to take over on day one.So Obama is bringing up the question..."if I'm qualified to be VP and capable of taking over on day one...doesn't that refute your claims that I'm not qualified to be president"?

Go Obama!...shove their words down their throats!

YES! I hope that shuts Bill Clintons mouth, but it won't, arrogant snit.

He want's to be back in the WH a little TOO bad , IMO!

You got that right n2n. And while Hillarys got her claws out and Obamas teflon is wearing off, Mccains getting restfully his campaign organization in place and shoring up his power base with nice cocktail lunches laughing the whole time.

I think you're right about McCain, he can rest now, he has the nomination, HOWEVER, that doesn't mean he is our new president. He needs this rest, to get ready for what's ahead of him.... I can't see him being elected in light of his recent claims to forging ahead with the Bush plan.

Powerful stuff, mntnman!

This can be the beginning of a beautiful campaign commercial!

Let the "Straight Talk" sleazeball get it full front and center!

McCain reminds me of a really bad copy of Dumbya - you know, like the one you get when your printer is about to run out of toner!

Haha, that's the first time I've seen that commercial...funny but kinda cheezy at the same time IMO. They can come up with better ones than that!

I wasn't insinuating that n2n but just this moment he's in good shape. He can get all the technical details out of the way, practice, have a great convention, etc. then he'll be able to concentrate on the race itself with no distractions.Nice spot to be in.

But I still predict the general election will be close PLUS he will get muddy no doubt.

Oh, I forgot. I think instead of campaigns we should just waterboard them all and get the truth and be done with it.

LOL! ...When Obama gets ahold of McSame in a debate,he will have him in a red faced ,curse filled raging tantrum within minutes.

You got that right. But I got a debate figured out to 2 questions.

To Obama-How are you going to pay for all you promised?

To McCain-How are if at all are you going to reverse Bushes fast March toward Dictatorship?

To me, that sums it up.LOL

Mc doesn't intend to reverse Bushies fast March toward Dictatorship, His words were, to continue on Bushies same path!

Obama-By saving 3 billion a month.

So right on mntn, McSame won't be able to control his rage, i can't wait to see that, he may have a coronary.

avatar

That's what I thought my questions would bring out.Either they'd both stutter or McCain would have a coronary. Either way the debates over.:)

Two thoughts:

One: Let us get rid of political dynasties once and for all. Let people with leadership, vision and a clean slate take charge and fix all the damage done by these thugs.

Two: Let us get all the perpetrators of crimes against the persons and Constitution lined up and start trials. Let the criminals pay for their crimes with VERY LONG prison terms, so that if and when they get out, they will be good examples of what happens when you destroy a country and its people.

Hillary would never be able to do it. She is beholden to a lot of special interests and she has an agenda and a lot of scores to settle. That kind of revenge is what has got us into this mess!

For those that give Hillary the nod for her ability to handle crisis, remember that the crisis she handled were Monica Lewinski, Vince Foster, Mena Arkansas, Whitewater, Jim McDougal, Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones.

I don't think that qualifies as an ability to handle international crisis. You can't call Iran trying to get nuclear weapons as part of the 'vast right wing conspiracy'. That is not the answer to everything.

You left out a lot--misplaced FBI files, White House Travel Office, lost billing records, 250 questions before a Congressional committee which were answered "I don't remember" or "I have no recollection of that"--and much, much more.

Can't argue with those posting above. Each brought interesting points and questions I feel we must address before voting. Republicans have the shortest memories on this planet. There's a damned good reason our fellow patriots seems to forget the same questions and the same time. T'is better not to remember the th'angs that make them into hypocrites, thieves, and co-conspiritors. Forgive me GOP, I'm not saying they are all hypocrites, crooks, and conspiritors. Just this administration...and the Nixon administration...and the Reagan administration...and the Eisenhower administration.

I think the others, namely Ford, was in the words of Lee Harvey Oswald, a "chump." To busy kissing GOP asses to breath fresh air.

I don't believe those bozos came into the GOP wondering how they would get their fortunes; I believe the GOP, like with Eisenhower, said not to worry about his cabinet -- they already had one picked just for him.

Obama's candidacy may also be affecting the way some whites are planning to vote, Bruce said. "It's huge in both ways. It's a huge motivating factor for some African-Americans voters, and it's a huge motivating factor for some whites, but perhaps in the other way."

I don't think that qualifies as an ability to handle international crisis. You can't call Iran trying to get nuclear weapons as part of the 'vast right wing conspiracy'. That is not the answer to everything.
