Fortunately, the top 10 percent of income earners pay over 90% of the taxes in this country. Chances are you don't pay a dime for this war.
Obama is full of crap. He wasn't even in Congress when the war started. He has not served in the military, he was too busy hating America in church on Sundays.

Taxes aren't paying for the war.
We have borrowed roughly $2.5 trillion since the war began five years ago. Since military and national security make up more than 20% of annual government expenditures, and since spending related to those has increased at a far faster rate than any other sector of government since then, it's clear that this spending accounts for the great increase in our national debt. That is what we'll all be paying for for decades to come.
Not to mention the fact that any savings that keep the annual deficit and the resultant debt from getting even higher have come from cuts in other government services, which affect those other 90% of wage earners far more than the top 10%. One of the effects of the war is a massive redistribution of wealth to that top 10%.

Just a reminder: Osama bin laden told his followers, prior to 9-11, that the best way to defeat the USA and its allies was to bring down our economic system.
It was no coincidence that terrorists made TWO attacks on the World Trade Center -- a symbol of our then-thriving economy.
Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with either attack. He refused to cooperate with bin Laden in any way, and explained why to his interrogator while he was awaiting execution. "I didn't trust Osama bin Laden. He's a fanatic, and fanatics can't be trusted."
Why did he allow the world to believe he might have, or be developing, WMDs? Because he wanted Iran to believe that, too, and thereby to discourage possible military action from his ambitious neighbors.
He didn't realize Washington had its own brand of fanatics controlling OUR government.
Our eagerness to invade Iraq has therefore brought terrorists even closer to their ultimate goal.
