You can bet that Iran is involved in Iraq! They have a huge stake in the outcome of their neighbor. Iraq was the USA's proxy in a long and bloody war against Iran. Iraq was still allied with Russia, so they also backed Iraq. Iran stood alone. Some of the evidence that Saddam had chemical weapons is that he used them against the Iranians. We have already expressed our desire for "regime change" in Iran. So, can we reasonably expect them to stand back and do nothing, while we groom Iraq to stand against them?
