Exclusive: Clinton Vows to Push On

Politics – Hillary Clinton is under a lot of pressure these days, but in a Tuesday interview she seemed cheery, confident and unapologetic as she talked about her determination to fight on in the Presidential race. Speaking by phone from Pennsylvania, she explained why she plans to continue her push for the Democratic nomination, even as some question her cha

An interview with Hillary, conducted by Mark Halperin..

Personally i thought Hillary talked out of both sides of her mouth, and answered the questions with a lot of double talk.

I didn't see any real answers to any of the questions, then she says Obama doesn't say anything.

Every Politician does that. All of them must like the taste of shoe leather.

Yes by talking out of both sides of her, his,/their mouth and using double talk she, he, they have a chance to satisfy everyone in, the fav of the MSM, a 5 to 30 sec. sound bite and never be put to task explaining anything mentioned unless the media picks up on it and demands more time on the issue(s) hinted at in the sound bite.

The campaign for the Dems has turned into showmanship not leadership. I'm still waiting for Hillary and OBama to address in great detail how they individually plan on handling the 'real issues' of 'we the people' and the nation.

No, not all politicians do that. If every politician is the same, then George Bush and James Buchanan and Walter Mondale are all the equals of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and FDR.

Good answer ET, there was a time when politicians actually put the welfare/citizens of the nation first.

Have you heard Hillary is using "the Tonya Harding strategy"?? LOL!

Hillary is a liability not an asset to the Democratic party and she is now behaving more like she belongs in the Bush administration.

Her latest ploy ... to rehash the Reverend Wright issue before that right wing nut job --Scaife, who was responsible for the witch hunts against her husbands administration was the final straw for me. I have no more respect left for her anymore. She is inviting Republicans to come out with the hate vote just as Limbaugh had suggested. Talk about betrayal! She's the real Judas -- not Richardson.

Her "We can't pick our family, but we can pick our ministers", speach was tacky. Although once we marry our spouses become family, Bill is not a blood relative and she could have "picked" to not be associated with him, just as Obama could have chosen not to be associated with the Rev.

I won't incriminate either for their choices, but neither should she.

Did Hillary forget that we can't pick our family...but we can pick our house guests?

at a time when she could be doing a lot of good for the country afterall we need strong senators too to write and push the legislation that obama will sign into law

"Well, you know", I just don't believe any of the Clintons have a decent bone in their body. I am sore displeased that Hilliary can pull the wool over so many eyes. I have always thought places like Pennsylvania were smarter than most places, but I figure they will vote for this power monger. Hilliary's whole argument is she has carried states that Democrats have historically carried. Either of these candidates will carry those states regardless of which one is nominated. No REAL argument here. The Democrats, most independents, and many republicans do not want another Republican in the white house. Geeze.

I'm not pleased with either of them. So all the rhetoric is doing is showing how little they truly care about America and how much they care about their own power.

I'm not voting for either of them I'm voting against the Bush administration and the McCain continuance of it.

This is the sad state of this once proud nation. We are reduced to voting against something instead of for something.

For those of you who say this is still a proud nation. We are a nation of the proud who have allowed our country to be overrun by the incompetant. We need to reverse this and become a proud nation again.

One who respects rights and the constitution instead of fear and government control.

What are Clinton's qualifications anyway to be President? In 1994, she said in her own book, Living History, "that her political inexperience partly contributed to the defeat" of her health care proposal. So, we can safely say, by her own words, she had no political experience countable toward that required of a President prior to 1994. After that, she traveled as the First Lady as an ambassador for her husband Bill until he left office. In 2000, she was elected Senator from NY in which capacity she has served since. So, in a nutshell, her ready to take charge experience on day one is eight years as a US Senator and 8 years as a first lady, no military experience, and no administrative experience. Obama, on the other hand has served 3 years as a US Senator and served 8 years as an Illinois state Senator, has no military experience, and no administrative experience. Neither are really experienced to take charge on day one as Commander in Chief or Administrator. continued

McCain, on the other hand, has more experience than either of the Democrats. He has military experience, about 20 years service as a Congressman or Senator, and no administrative experience. Therefore, he is more likely to be ready to take charge as a Commander in Chief on day one, but he will still not be ready to handle all the duties of the President as Administrator. Unless it is a President's second term, I doubt any President is ready to take on those duties. Too, just because McCain has experience in the military, does not necessarily mean he will be able to lead the military as a civilian. It may even be a hindrance for what is best for a civilian population, which will be his first obligation.

So, why am I for Obama? He represents the furtherest from the status quo and a real hope for good change we so much need. McCain and Clinton offer only more of the same we have had to contend with the past eight years.

McCain is also more experienced at talking out of both sides of his mouth...

Independently I must say this demcoractic run for president has not only divived the party but will go on divide America. Hillary I believe will try a fast one but knows she wont win. She will destory Obama anyway and look forward to run again in4 years. If they still have a party.

You may be right, but the democrat party isn't in any worse shape than the republican party is. Bush has brought the GOP to it's knees, and the best they can come up with for a presidential candidate is a man who can't decide whether he want's to be a leftie or rightie!

He flops around more than a fish out of water.

When Obama gets the nomination fair and square, she'll realize that her and the Clinton name's legacies are still left to be cast. She'll either get on the train or sink below radar.

How will the Democrats ever know if their candidate wins the nomination "fair and square" if they don't count FL and Michigan?

Neither Hillary nor Obama will go to the convention with 2,024 votes from delegates

When will republicans (and Hillary) ever learn that rules are rules and when you try to change the rules in the middle of the game...it's called...cheating!

avatar
Reply

Absolutely mntn. Why do people think there should be no consequences?

avatar
Reply

Fla and Michigan gave up their delegates to hold their primaries on Super Tues! No one made them do that, they did it very willingly.

So many thought that Hillary was a definite and that Obama was just a bothersome little gnat buzzing around their heads waiting to be swatted back into his proper place.

Fla and Mich need to accept the consequences of their actions and quit boohooing about wanting a do over.

avatar
Reply

Just to be perfectly clear:

If the DNC decides to seat delegates from FL and Michigan who were selected in the "illegal election", would that be a violation of the rules?

You will be perfectly happy if the Super Delegates select the nominee, even if it is not the candidate you are backing, because that is the "rule"?

avatar
Reply

I'm not for giving Fla and Mich a second chance! Bottom line.... they made their choice, and life is about choices!

avatar
Reply

What about the "rules" I mentioned above? Where do you stand on those?

avatar
Reply

The rules that every dem candidate agreed to in writing before the primaries started.Hannity has a tape of Hillary agreeing if you're interested.

Hey, MountainMan, your nasty-assed mountain-lover here! That's the reason I respect you, dude. You are a man worth listening to. I salute you, my cool friend. And for the record, I know too that the Democrats promised to take the high-road. Most did, some didn't. In re Hillary Clinton, when any politician is so desparate to start attacking on issues not related to the performance of the candidate, they are in deep-doodle my friend. Peace

Please don't salute me ...I work for a living.;-)

So if the DNC seats any delegates from FL or Michigan you would object?

If the Super Delegates give the nomination to Hillary over Obama, you are OK with that too?

I'm a Ron Paul supporter.But yes I would object.

No she wont. Go back and study the Kerry election. The Clintons helped to ensure he would not win in hopes of beating Bush the second time or that Kerrys VP could take the ticket.

Before you start sending flowers to the Democratic party, try real hard to remember what Bush and Cheney did for the past seven years.

Then open your whinning mouths about any possibility of another Republican crawling into the Whitehouse!!!!

PS: As far as I'm concerned, McCain broke his word about keeping troops in an illegal war, and waterboarding!!! I can say that -- I'm a damned veteran. Screw you GOP, if you knew the difference between the front-hole and the back-hole.

Peace, that's what we fought for -- we earned it! Bush and Cheney DIDN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
