The Hillary Deathwatch

Politics – Hillary Clinton is as good as dead. This became the consensus over the past week, when the media awoke en masse to the dual reality that 1) Clinton can't close the pledged-delegate gap and 2) Obama has her beat in the popular vote.

Not so fast, Deary. Hillary isn't going anywhere. There are still 10 Primaries going into June, and she will give Obama a real run for his money. I saw her on Fox for an hour last week, and she looked more Presidential then he does, even wrapped in all those Flags. He is so phony.

Hillary has ever right to stay in it till someone hits the magic number of 2024 committed delegates. But realistically, she is well behind in delegates, has won half as many states and is 700,000 behind in the popular vote. To catch up, she must win all the remaining races with landslide margins in each. Not very likely.

Obama needs one third of the remaining uncommitted super-delegates to put him over 2024. Hillary needs over 2/3rds.

Unless Obama self destructs, he WILL be the Democratic nominee. the press is playing it that the race is a cliff hanger, but that's baloney.

Bye Hillary? What are you smoking? Why would she concede to a guy that can't speak off of the tele-prompter without insulting one race or another? Obama has been exposed as just another Black Separatist that hates and resents white people.

Hillary would never step down when her opponent is actually helping to make her look good!

It's sad to see that people are still reverting to race and hate in our country. We keep preaching how Christian a nation we are. I find it hard to see Christ among this much hate...what Rev Wright said are his words not Obamas, I wonder how many of you would like to be held responsible for the hate you hear in the privacy of your home or in your boardrooms, or jobs. or even when you are walking down the streets. This poison needs to be eradicated from our social consciousness, we are about to make a very big mistake if we elect the same old here this nation is in desperate need of some new leadership not a different set of crooks and pilfers!

Why should Hillary step down? Obama is heading for crash and burn - if it happens before the Convention, she gets the nod. If it happens afterwards, she can run against McCain in 2012.

Obama could take a 15% drop, and still beat her in popular vote and pledged delegates nationally. The math just isnt possible for her to turn it around, unless the super delegates go against the popular vote and pledged delegates and shift toward her. Which ill admit, could happen.. But the odds are very very slim.. Nobody wants to go against the people of their districts.. It would put their own political careers at risk. Even my own Senator(Cantwell) is now suggesting she might switch to Obama since 70% of her constituents voted for him.

I wonder, will the Dems have a court oder to have Hillary's feeding tube removed as well?

She's like the Terminator ... she just keeps coming.

They'll have to to overturn the GOP executive order that is keeping her alive now.

She is still here because the DNC doesn't have the guts to tell her to go. I miss Ron Brown, he was a true leader!

Having two candidates is going to work out to a Democratic advantage. The longer that they are both in the race Republicans don't know who it will be. They want us to narrow it down to one so they can focus their attacks. The Democratic process is a hot forge, and the hammering by the GOP is going to temper our candidates. We all knew these issues were going to come up (aniokly told us so months ago :-) ) After the next round of Primaries the choice will be clear at which point they can both start pummeling McCain. In the mean time, don't be anxious. It's allll good.

avatar
Reply

Yeah yeah...thats it keep the Republicans guessing :)

Dont quit now Hillary....

avatar
Reply

It's not a matter of keeping the GOP guessing. Its having two points of media attention against one. The math is pretty much done, I think, but their will be a point where the focus is going to turn on McCain. Where is McCain anyway? Trying to drum up some campaign cash in Switzerland no doubt. The Elect a Democrat show is running away with the ratings.

avatar
Reply

That is right. Keep the negative press against each going. That will keep the Republicans guessing all right.

You guys never could keep your negatives and positives straight, anyway.

Guess again. Members of Congress have a much smaller population to appease, and it is MUCH easier for them to get re-elected, even if they don't support the windbag Obama.

Simple fact is, Obama has not secured the nomination. Until he does, of course Hillary will stay in the fight. After all, she's "entitled" to the nomination lol.

I see Aidenag is becoming more and more active in pushing the Obama talking points. Yet more proof of the extreme bias at work on Propeller, as if that were any kind of revelation.

If Hillary were to drop out, she would be unable to represent change, hope and democracy.

She has proven incapable of doing that now.

AND--if it came down to a popular vote--Hillery would win..

When we have a secret ballot--all bets are off..

Hillery can beat Mccain--but--Obama--cannot..

Mccain will win over Obama--guaranteed..

gee, the results of the three polls showed the opposite (although Obama's majority was still within the margin of error)

Hillary will kill the Democratic opponent and the party before she quits or force out.

The way for John McCain is already cleared. All his skeletons will remain in the closet. All he has to do is to repeat all the things Clinton has said about Obama and pay CNN to pay the Rev. Wright tapes every day.

There was a difficult way for the Democratic Party to blow the chances to regain the Presidency and an easier way. They are following the easier way.

avatar
Reply

Agree. She is getting there in terms of helping McCain.

But on the other hand, she has the right to continue even at the expenses of the democratic party.

If the democrats can't unite to defeat McCain, they deserve to loose.

And then Obama offers Hillary the VP spot?

avatar

He'll offer the VP spot to McCain.

The general election in NOV will be cancelled due to a total lack of neoConservative relevance.

I'm thinking Richardson will be his choice.

Should Barack Obama win the nomination in a nation paralyzed by racism and corporate lobbyists, I doubt he would ever make to the White House alive. The guantlet that he has to traverse is riddled with many more booby traps.

avatar
Reply

Why do you feel this wat Spade? The only way Obama wouldn't do well is if he make the wrong choices in who he have around him. This entire election reminds me of Bills. The only difference is the head of the DNC not having the balls to dismiss the Clintons.

avatar

Obama is way too liberal to be elected in the General election. The Democrats know neither of their frontrunners can win now, so they will nominate Obama to keep their African-Americans at the convention from rioting. They had 8 good candidates. Even Hillary, and Obama might have competed until they bloodied each other up.

That is putting things in right perspective. They have already lost. Nov. polls will be just a formality for John McCain.

no way is hillary going to quit this--it wouldnt surprise me for her to go independent if she doesnt get the nod in denver--and obamamama cant get enough delegates by the convention either...going to be very entertaining

Hillary is going to make a come back because Hillary wants to bring home those troops, not only that she sees that outsourcing is only serving the rich as they pay virtually no tax. Yeah, she voted for war, so did half a dozens of others, this nation was attacked. A nation is supposed to trust their President, the Dog was given a BONE. She was there when NAFTA was signed and Cheney and his business leagues were the real reason NAFTA got pushed through. That was aired on the History channel. The Clinton Administration didn't have the power they needed then. The Congress was overcome with republican rule. The rich Dems don't want her in because they may have to pay a tax on the out sourcing business which could force industry to do a comeback in America. The American People can not continue to exist on the trade of other countries. Should her health plan get going, Edward's plan would take it from there.

Excuse me, popular vote has a history of getting ignored. This election is being manipulated by Bush and the most honest down to earth is the one that gets tromped on. It's one of his two deluded puppets, wish I had money to bet.

Obama is a corrupted, Chicago politician sponcered by a rich Iraqi businessman. Tony Rezko owns many Chicago politicians, and his trial will last until June. Obama swore to whatever God they have in his Black Nationalist Church, that he only took less then $50,000,000. dollars from Tony. Then we found out he lied about the other $200,000. What do you suppose a crooked Iraqi Businessman would be buying from a U S Presidential candidate? Think about it.

avatar
Reply

50 million..... wow...... thats a lot of money for a house, even in Chicago. We all know by now that your mission in life is to save us from Obama, but at least try a little bit harder to keep your lies within reason.

avatar
Reply

The house was extra. The $250,000. was a donation here, a donation there. A little under the table, etc. It is the house, plus the dirty lucre. Not lying Sweetcakes. It's the God's truth, and your corrupt candidate went to all the trouble of giving part of it to charity. You Democrats sure can pick 'em.

Here's the most important thing to know about this race: IT'S NECK-AND-NECK.

Only 130 delegates separate Hillary from Senator Obama -- and that's not counting Florida and Michigan. The difference in popular vote is less than 1 percent, and millions of voters have yet to make their voices heard. This election should be about their choice.

But now we're hearing people -- elected officials, party members, and Obama campaign surrogates -- call for Hillary to pull out.

With the race this close, it sure doesn't make sense to me that she'd leave now -- does it make sense to you?

Hillary never forgets exactly why she is running. Her commitment to the people of this country never wavers.

Hillary isn't big on quitting. She's in this race to win.

GO HILLARY 2008!!

I don't know where you got your numbers, or your math skills, but you are sadly mistaken on all counts. If the HC campaign is using the same source as you, that would explain a lot. For a dose of reality, you might read the article you are posting to.

avatar
Reply

Hillary is not a quitter. She is strong, determined, and she is fighting for that nomination. She is also fighting to see that all those voters in Florida, and Michigan get their votes counted. Obama doesn't want them counted. He is fighting Hillary tooth, and nail, but she will prevail.

avatar
Reply

Actually, it was FL and MI that didn't want their votes counted. That's why they had the unsanctioned early primaries, remember?

avatar
Reply

aniokly, I don't know how to figure you. You got the nail on the head. I would like to see those people get counted too.
