Here's the most important thing to know about this race: IT'S
NECK-AND-NECK.
Only 130 delegates separate Hillary from Senator Obama -- and that's
not counting Florida and Michigan. The difference in popular vote is
less than 1 percent, and millions of voters have yet to make their
voices heard. This election should be about their choice.
But now we're hearing people -- elected officials, party members, and
Obama campaign surrogates -- call for Hillary to pull out.
With the race this close, it sure doesn't make sense to me that she'd
leave now -- does it make sense to you?
Hillary never forgets exactly why she is running. Her commitment to
the people of this country never wavers.
Hillary isn't big on quitting. She's in this race to win.
GO HILLARY 2008!!

Well "Florida and Michigan" aren't going to be counted.
"call for Hillary to pull out"
Didn't she call for Obama to pull out and be her VP. While he was leading everything?
The race is not close. People in her own camp stated that she has about a 5% chance of winning.
UNLESS she gets the DNC to give her the nomination.
"Her commitment" is to herself. That's why she allowed Bill's cheating, that she voted for the Iraq war and became Senator in NY so she could be where she is today. But to many people see her for what she is. Her run is over. Her biggest fear is that Obama does win. Then she can't run in 2012. And thats why she doesn't care about the damage she does to Obama. Because if she can't win then she doesn't want him to win either.

You took the words right off of my keyboard! If Obama wins the White House he will most likely be a two-term president. If McCain wins, he'll most likely be a one-term president. Hillary wants to be the first woman president and the only chance, however remote, is to beat McCain now or to run against an incumbant McCain in 2012. By 2016 she'll be be too old.

its not neck and neck, and the diference in polular vote is not 1%. its 2.6%.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/pr...
unless Hillary scores a series of landslides in the remaining states, she's toast.
but she does have a sliver of a chance, and there are people out there who have yet to vote, and their voices should be heard.
for those reasons she should stay in the race.
even Obama says she should stay in.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-campaign...
but when its clear who the people want, and that the only way she can win is with some superdelegate shenanigans, then its time for her to call it quits. and that time, I'm afraid, is drawing near.

Don't particularly like Hillary. Of those running she is my last choice. At the same time its very close yet. While its unlikely that she can win it is still possible.

In politics, anything can happen. We ccould find out Obama lied about the Kennedys sending for his Kenyan Father. We could find out he lied about not hearing his Black Nationalist Preacher cursing, and damning the very country he wants to be President of. We could find out he lied about what he will do about NAFTA. He knows he can't do a darn thing. It is law. Hillary has every right to continue campaigning until June 3rd. She is beating him in Pennsylvania by more then 10 points. The Democrats know there are voters that won't vot for him because he is the most Liberal Senator in the Senate. The Superdelegates might decide he is not electable. It is a long time until the Convention.

We could also find out that even though Barak Obama's bios, and campaign literature claims he was a Law Professor at Uiversity of Chicago from 1992 until 2004 when he ran for the U S senate, he never was a Professor. He taught a couple part time courses, but he was a lecturer, not a Professor. Now why would he pretend such a thing? Why did he need to lie about something like that? And if he lied about that, what else is he lying about. This information is from the Lynn Sweet column in todays Sunday Sun-Times.

Both the candidates know that the election in Nov. is already lost to John McCain. The remainder of the primaries, the convention and the ultimate nominee is only of academic interest.
John Stewart was right from the beginning. These Democrats know how to blow elections.
Unlike the system here, the parliamentary system in UK and India, the parties put out of the platform or the issues and how they will address them if elected. The PM when elected by a majority of the members of the parliament represents the party and its policies.

Nikki ((Both the candidates know that the election in Nov. is already lost to John McCain))
They know? Hmm how so? Crystal ball? Tossing bones? Madame Trey?
The eternity that this last 3 weeks has been in politics is nothing to the man months to go. No one knows what tomorrow will bring much less a few hundred tomorrow's. In politics, the 'tomorrow' scenario is amplified.
So how do they KNOW anything? I say they know chicken squat about tomorrow, other than the sun will rise and politics as usual will continue.

That last election was supposed to change things. Gas prices were supposed to be lowered. Troops were coming home. There are more troops in Iraq now then there were then, and gas is through the roof. Damascus Rose, and the boys made everything worse. They can't run on their record of change that is for sure.

No one is "entitled" to the highest office until "elected" by due process.
Unlike the elections in other major democracies like UK & India, here it is decided not by a candidate's qualifications but by his/her color of the skin, religion, how many skeletons he/she has in the closet, who the corporate media wants elected and as we have seen in 2000 & 2004 some fraud at the ballot box.
If the country's current economic crisis and poor standing in the world is any indication, it confirms what I have said, i.e., the best qualified man/woman did not get to the highest office.
Current indications are, this will be repeated in a few months.

The race for the democratic ticket is much closer than it was at the repuplicans, where Mc Cain left over nearly nothing for his rivals. I think, for Hillary to resign now was like a 5000 m race stopped after 4900 meters, handing out the prize to the runner lying in front at the break off. It would surely be a good idea for the democrats to rethink their process of nomination, but now, at the finish, I´d wish, both candidates faught till the end. And if, at the end, they arrived at the same time or even hand in hand, so what?
