Hagel is a Lib. I appreciate his service in the war. His service since then is another matter. He probably should have done fewer drugs in Nam.

Hagel isn't a RINO. Except on the war, he's more in line with the conservatives than than almost anyone. The others? Yes, they are RINO's or Rockefellerites, and McCain will draw far more Democrats than any Democrat will draw of Republicans. Real life example? My mother-in-law, who voted for Stevenson against Ike in 1956, Kennedy 1960, Johnson 1964, Humphrey 1968, Carter 1976 and 1980, Dukakis 1988, Clinton 1992 and 1996, Gore 2000, and Kerry 2004. She will vote for Hillary, but if Obama is the nominee she will support McCain.

FTA:
Of the 140,000 Pennsylvania Republicans and independents who switched registration in the last year to Democrat, the majority are Obama voters, the director of the Franklin & Marshall College poll, G. Terry Madonna, said. Registration for the state's closed April 22 primary ended March 24. "If 2 million people vote in Pennsylvania, which would be a huge number, I think Obama gets 85,000 to 90,000 switchers. That's 3 or 4 or 5%, which is a big deal."
Since January, 98,840 Republicans and independents have changed party affiliation according to the latest stats from the Penn Dept of State.
"We have seen one of the highest - if not the highest - number of people switch from one party to another in one week, the week leading up to the deadline: 29,060 who switched to the Democratic Party from March 17 to March 24," said Rebecca Halton, a spokeswoman for the department.

Nothing new here?

I second that. I voted primarily Republican for 30 years. Changed my registration to Democrat in 2004. And I hope to vote for Obama.

Want to guess how many Democrats are voting McCain? There are a number of them, also Independents. The Republicans they named were not real Republicans anyway.

Honestly only the terrible misjudgement of Bush II could have bought America to the point of even considering Obama. The pendulum has to swing somewhat but going 180 degrees in the other direction that is (the Moveon.Org DailyKos candidate) Obama is insanity.
If Obama get's the democratic nod, McCain wins pure & simple.
Who would have thought that a year ago?

Do I want to guess how many Democrats will vote for McCain?
Yes I do. I'll guess three. What do I win?

If you are serious, a dunce cap. Gallup shows that the Democrats are so polarized that 28% of Hillary supporters will vote for McCain if Obama gets nominated and 19% of Obama supporters will vote for McCain if Hillary gets nominated. Even if that drops, it is still a heck of a lot more than 3.

I'll say this, vote for McCain if you want America to be an economic waste land by 2030. Vote for McCain if you want to have Social Security predicated on the volitile stock market. Vote for McCain if you want the dollar to be the laughing stock of international currency. Vote for McCain if you $7 dollar a gallon gas. This zombie has no economic plan, no plan to rebuild the infrastructure, no plan to strengthen the dollar, no plan to improve American intel capabilities and to top it off the dude is super soft on immigration, not to mention his ties to the Keating 5.

Joe Lieberman is still technically a Democrat, but more important than "big name" supporters, try this:

That's right. 28% of Hillary voters will opt for McCain over Obama. 19% of Obama supporters will opt for McCain over Hillary.
