Politics – Sen. John McCain is in the "embryonic stages" of selecting a vice presidential running mate and he hopes to unveil his choice before the Republican National Convention to avoid the type of problems that plagued Dan Quayle's debut two decades ago.
"We've done a pretty good job of unifying our party,"
He's got alzheimers.
"Now we've got to energize our party."
Good luck.
John Nance Garner - 32nd Vice President with Pres FDR
Garner is most noted for saying the vice presidency wasn't worth "a warm bucket of spit," although reporters allegedly changed the spelling of the last word for print
How many times has it actually mattered who the VP was?

On a lighter note, for all you fans of Sci-Fi series like Stargate and BattleStar Galactica:
Honestly, who would you prefer to see flying the "Spaceship of State": - Colonel Maybourne/Senator Kinsey (McCain), the Go'auld System Lord Apophis (Obama) or hotshot pilot and brain-box Starbuck/Col. Samantha Carter?
GO HILLARY, GO!!!
Actually I see McCain as being more like O'Neill, a patriot who often bucks the powers that be, or Bill Adama. I see Obama as more like the treacherous Baal than Apophis, or maybe a Brother Cavil. Hillary as Sam Carter? NOT!!! More like a Wraith Queen lol And all of the Cylons females are too cute to compare to her
I hate to say it, but, all three running for President seem to be Cylons in disguise. McCain even LOOKS kind of like the one eyed commander on BattleStar who just found out he IS, in fact, a Cylon.
