McCain Gets Iraq Facts Wrong Again »
Posted by: Beau7890 5 months agoYesterday, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said he was "surprised" by violent clashes between central Iraqi government and militias connected to Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr last week in the southern Iraqi city of Basra. So let me see if I understand this....McCain (the one trick pony in this election) ACTUALLY has been WRONG with regard to that one trick then he's been right in the last 2 weeks. He repeatedly indicated the al Qaeda in Iraq was being trained by Iran and now he doesn't know who started the fighting and who really had the ability to stop it by knowing the difference between the Maliki government an al-Sadr militia.
Boy, this certainly the guy that I want to have his finger on the button. Maybe the next mistake he makes is that California is part of Iran and NOT the United States and decide to "Bomb, bomb, bomb. Bomb, bomb Iran (California)."

Funny that you should say that. Did you see this story from last week?
http://politics.propeller.com/story/2008/03/26/...
"It is 3 a.m., and the stillness of the White House night is shattered by the ringing of the red phone. President John McCain, rousing himself from a deep sleep, turns on the light and picks up the receiver. A U.S. embassy in a Middle Eastern country, he is told, has been blown up, and al-Qaeda is taking credit.
"McCain takes a deep breath. 'Character counts, my friend,' he says. 'Bomb Iran. Bomb, bomb Iran.'
"There is a rustling of blankets, and, brushing aside Cindy McCain, a concerned Joe Lieberman rises from the bed. 'Not Iran, Mr. President,' he says. 'They hate al-Qaeda.'
" 'That's right,' the president says. 'I remember now.' He sighs with relief. 'Good thing you're here every night, Joe.' "
