"Obama bomb dropped at Rezko trial"
Rezko had a party and invited Obama. Obama went to the party.
Where is the bomb? Non-story.

When Sen Obama found the house he wanted, a $1,600,000. Mansion, he didn't have the money to buy it. He sought out Mr Rezko for a loan. Mr Rezko didn't have enough money so he went to Mr Auchi, a Syrian businessman, once mixed up with Saddam Hussein in the Food for Oil kickback scheme. He gave Mr Rezko the money he needed. They bought the mansion from a high ranking member of the Nation of Islam. They are all just one big happy family.

"Obama and his aides have said Obama has no recollection of ever meeting Auchi."
They don't have records of Obama's itinerary? If not, what good is his staff?
Team Obama answering "no recollection" to a "yes or no" question means that more info is needed before they get their story straight.

Would you not think you could remember attending a party with the man that made it possible for you to live in a $1,600,000. mansion? A mansion that Michele already thinks is "too small!"

Not all Democrats are shady customers, but you can't swing a dead cat in Chicago without hitting one. They have a reputation to uphold.

I just hope that garbage like this doesn't get drug into the White House. This country needs NO distractions like this now.
Whether you're for him or against him the media will drag it along with him if it will gain ratings.

As the story says, "Obama is not accused of any wrongdoing."
I'm no fan of Obama's, but what's the big deal? Why don't they run criminal background checks on everyone that was ever in the same room as GWB and then try to smear GWB by association.

You mean like this lie, "Now, by the way, any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, it requires -- a wiretap requires a court order. Nothing has changed, by the way. When we're talking about chasing down terrorists, we're talking about getting a court order before we do so."
Do you know who told that whopper?
Why aren't you as concerned about the Constitution being shredded as you are about Obama's recall of some stupid cocktail party?

"Why aren't you as concerned about the Constitution being shredded as you are about Obama's recall of some stupid cocktail party?"
Because this story isn't about "ny time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap" it's about Obama's lie, and it's not about Hillary saying she was fired on by snipers, it's about Obama. Now when you post stories on the other issues you're trying to use as a distraction we'll comment on those issues. I'll even throw you a bone here, when you post a story on wiretaps we can talk about "If you made a phone call today or sent an e-mail to a friend, there's a good chance what you said or wrote was captured and screened by the country's largest intelligence agency. The top-secret Global Surveillance Network is called Echelon, and it's run by the National Security Agency and four English-speaking allies: Canada, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand...

Why is this so surprising? OBama is a politician. As such, like his peers, he will work with and be friends with anything or anyone that will promote his cause, which is him, B.H.OBama. He, like his peers, will go to where the money and 'influence is' and be their 'special friend'. So he/they, the politician(s) can get 'special considerations' for 'special favors' that will be kicked back to the 'donor' via 'special considerations' once the favorite 'special friend'(politician) is in office.
The rest of us can just sit on it and spin, because the only time 'we the people' will ever matter to any politician is when, as in this case, the politician wants to get elected to office, esp the White House.
We the people are only needed for 'votes' then after that we loose our 'special status' for politicians.

I don't like or trust Mr. Obama, however, I don't see the big deal. At least not in the testimony being given. That being said, I'm very familiar with Illinois politics. Bribes, I mean fees are nothing new and is business as usual. Since Obama pretty much came out of nowhere, I could believe he's part of the Daly machine.
I suspect Mr. Obama isn't the "new" politician everyone seems to be fawning over. He's slick, he reads scripted statements well, he dresses well and I bet he can shed a tear on command. It seems he hangs out with questionable people including Wright and Rezko. All we need is a mistress and a dead aide or two and we'd have America's second Clinton....

Zaph22, connect the dots for me here. Why is Obama's possible attendance at this party a potential "bomb"? I haven't followed this story too closely. I see the usual spinmeisters putting out their partisan lines, what is the real deal in your eyes? Is this really a "bomb" just waiting to explode?
