Posted by: markoller 4 months, 2 weeks agoJohn Kerry testifies before Congress on April 22, 1971 and recites all of the ludicrous atrocity stories told by the fake veterans of the Winter Soldier Investigation. Kerry was also virtually the only real Vietnam veteran in the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW).

I also recommend "Stolen Valor: Setting the Record Straight." http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=... Or just download "Stolen Valor."

The following link leads to chapter six of Unfit for Command, which deals with the 'Winter Soldier Investigation': http://www.wintersoldier.com/
These phony atrocities stories led to the torture of American POW's. See http://www.stolenhonor.com/documentary/samples.asp
And read what the heroes of CBS did when B.G. Burkett exposed "The Wall Within" as a pack of lies. http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/morse2004...

They made things up to try to get the country out of the war. The bad thing is they succeeded. We had won the war and these things along with Hanoi Jane and hippy movement pushed the government to leave a battle field in shame when we had won the war. They liked that so much that they want to do it again. For them lies trump truth.

Endo, get real, we could never have won the war. If we would have read Bernard Fall's book on the French debacle... we would have known then we couldn't win! It was a US general named Galloway who told the French that Dien Bien Phu could and would never fall too! He was the ranking US general advisor to the French equiped with our WW2 equipment in the Indochina war.
Get real! You right wingers wanted to continue WW2 too by attacking the Russians next - what foolhardly fools you are!

Ho Chi Minh wrote in his memoirs that if the United States invaded North Vietnam he would have fled to China. Despite President Johnson's no win policy, North Vietnam was still ready to give up, until John Kerry came to the rescue. The Soviets were ready to give up during President Nixon's second term. Then the media saved the republic from Nixonian fascism, and Congress cut off all funding for South Vietnam. It was so-called democracy which was hopeless, not the Vietnam war.

Markoller:
You said "the atrocity stories sound like a parody".
Didn't to me. Sounded like stuff coming out of Darfur, or Somalia, or older stuff from older wars. Standard stuff, really.
You may have been attending too many civil war re-enactments?
You said elsewhere that Kerry was almost the only real vietnam vet in the Vets Against the War.
That's news to me, and to others.
Please provide the source.

Kinda sorta like Urban legends/Myths?
Perhaps that's why no one would swear out that THEY actually saw any of this. Same with the IVAW frauds.
My, how their stories changed when the figured out that yes we are listening.

I was unable to find a list of VVAW members and their identities, but you might begin by reading chapter six of "Unfit for Command." http://unfitforcommandchapter6.blogspot.com/
and http://www.tosettherecordstraight.com/staticpag...
The VVAW and the WIS were communist fronts and the leaders would not have been allowed in the U.S. armed forces anymore than the Viet Cong.

Where do you get your information, the American press? Radio Hanoi was less of an enemy propaganda mouthpiece. I suggest reading the information I provided in its entirety. I also recommend buying Unfit for Command, Stolen Valor and Target America, by James L. Tyson.
I glanced at Kissinger's memoirs, and he revealed that Vietnamization was working, until the coup against Nixon. Kissinger wrote that Richard Nixon "was the most viciously subverted President in history."
Until then, you might read this rather lengthy article: "How to Lose A War: The Press and Viet Nam," by Robert Elegant: http://www.wellesley.edu/Polisci/wj/Vietnam/Rea...
