Racism, Sexism, and the Democratic primaries

Politics – In the days leading up to Pennsylvania's primary, white males ââ;¬" those knuckle-dragging, chaw-chompin', beer-swillin' bitter troglodytes ââ;¬" were suddenly the debutante's delight. Bottom line: It's hard to woo people you don't really love.

Judging by the numbers, the most racist voters in the Primaries are African-Americans who vote 90 % for "their" candidate.

avatar
Reply

Always has been. There's been no greater example of racism and prejudice than Obama calling his grandmother a "typical white person."

avatar
Reply

Some one will say that even though African-Americans vote approx 90% for OBama that it in no way implies that he has any association with the Black vote.

Therefore, if the race vs vote issue ever should surface, he is not a racist, they are.

I couldn't get the story to load so I will talk about the posts here.

OK time for honesty here.

Are black people voting for the first black man that has a possibility to be the first black president about race? Well yeah, but it's not 'racist' to do so.

1 â;; Why wouldn't black people do that?

2 â;; After the history of starting out as slaves in this country. Wouldn't you think they would be proud to have this opportunity to vote for a fellow black after all?

3 â;; Though racists things have been said by those associated with both Democrat camps; blacks voting for one of their own in what amounts to be one of the most historic political events in this nations history does not constitute racism but more likely pride of 'finally' having the opportunity to feel part of the process at the highest level.

Well slate - the sun finally rose in the West this a.m. so, I am giving you a pos (more if I could) for your comments on this issue. They offer a valid perspective as well as a refreshing departure from Bobo, Libs & Co.'s malicious racial conjecture.

I'm not sure who crossed the floor on this - myself or slate. Certainly we met in the middle. But Wolfie - Mr. "Racism, sexism and maybe violence, the democrat convention is going to be the best show of the summer. Can't wait." - decided to neg me and pos slate. That should tell you more about Wolfie than anything he might care to say about his sorry self. Then again, I never have trusted wolves. Does this mean we can expect him to show up at the DNC dressed in sheep's clothing with a six pack of molotov cocktails under each arm?

Good post BoBo, even though it made me ill, it has been filled to the brim with truth. We most certainly are the most hated humans on the face of the earth. But of course it is quite acceptable to hate us.

There will never be any sympathy for our struggle, because for some reason, the world sees our lives as a golden ticker tape parade.

There will never be any allowances for us. But there are countless cases of racism and sexism against us by our own government.

Sadly, for some reason, our nation seems to think that there should be discriminated against us even more.

In the city of Chicago, it is illegal for a white male to hold a contract for work with the city. You must be a woman, or an ethnicity other than white. Why do you suppose anyone would become bitter about that?

avatar
Reply

Point by point eddie, you sure do sound "bitter". So let's have a closer look...

* "We most certainly are the most hated humans on the face of the earth."

THE WORLD: Let's just say that we white males are taking a collateral hit for what our predominantly white leadership has delivered to racial blocs in terms of incessant military incursions, economic blackmail, wholesale racist slander ("gooks", "******s", "sand ******" "jungle bunnies" etc) and other jingoist arrogance that grew up with America over the course of our development as a nation and now as an empire.

avatar
Reply

* "There will never be any sympathy for our struggle" -

"OUR STRUGGLE" - sounds too close to Mein Kampf (Hitler: "My Struggle") for comfort. But let's not forget white against white struggles - incidents like the American Civil War, or a host of other atrocities - eg. Highland Clearances - that brought many disposessed white settlers here in chains. Bearing that in mind, the policies and tactics of ethnic and racial discrimination becomes less a matter of black vs. white that it does an issue of "elite" vs. "common man" - or "imperium" vs. "democracy".

avatar
Reply

* "there are countless cases of racism and sexism against us by our own government"...

Now you're getting warmer... Big government and the elite that control it hold all the cards. The elite doesn't really care if the pendulum they cause to swing one way or the other creates hardship or bitterness for any segment of the general population. They gauge their social and economic policies on the basis of "control" issues and act in measured ways that on one hand appear philanthropic, (eg. "affirmative action") but on the other cause predictably divisive reactions that work in favor of the nanny state and all the deliberate inefficiency that spells to each and every one of us. IMHO, legislation such as the gender based salary disparity corrective McCain recently voted against should have passed without debate - but like so many other issues, clear resolution of a clear question deflates the political football. Welcome to the Big Game, eddie.

* "In the city of Chicago, it is illegal for a white male to hold a contract for work with the city...

I don't know if it is "illegal" - but cases (firemen) show that it is evident. On the opposite side of the coin, the is a history of employment discrimination favoring whites over blacks (longshoreman) that the usual ham fisted application of "affirmative action" was intended to offset - in theory. In practice, you are - from what I can tell - most likely experiencing the direct results of social legislation intended to take the edge off of black bitterness in the Chicago district. Black folks and social activists may have promoted "affirmative action" in principle - but on the administrative level the insensitivity of the state has made it what it is today - another over inflated political football for big government to kick around until something better (for bureaucrats, lawyers, politicians, paid lobbyists ) comes along to replace it.

Not even close, you can vilify me by associating me with Hitler, but you will never make me feel ashamed for being who I am.

Am I supposed to be ashamed that my ancestors evolved faster than other humans?

I don't even think that my race was the most advanced race on earth. But trying to pretend that races did not develop at the same rate, is just sheer ignorance.

How about the NAACP? What if there was a NAAWP? Would that be gladly accepted, or would it be shunned like th KKK? They are all the exact same thing.

What if there was a Miss White America? How about a White College fund? Or even a White College?

I will be paying my student loans till I die. Its nice to know that my government is so concerned about my welfare, while the ones who don't use their education get checks just to go to school.

There has always been some form or repression, that is because of evolution.

But we should be where we are all judged by our content of character, but we aren't are we?

Yes, and Obama cannot win the General election with just the Black voters, and the Limosine Liberals. That means he will have to put Hillary on the ticket to pick up women, those bitter gun owners, and church going middle class, and blue collar workers. I want to see the look on Michele Obama's face when reality sets in.

Something tells me that Obama has run out of clever speeches. He used up everything he had early on and now is struggling to find new ways to decieve his loyal followers. At some point, it will become painfully obvious to the Obama kooks that he doesn't offer anything of substance. All he offers is a glimmer of hope, provided you don't ask him HOW he actually intends to deliver on his promises.

I predict Obama will not ask Hillary, because that would make too much sense, and so far, he hasn't shown much of that.

Yeah and unfortunately these will be deemed racist statements.NOPE.It is the same thing as when I said what seems years ago that Clinto would gain a higher percent of the female vote.TRUE.

BTW-I like Comrade Obama just as much as St. Obama I.:)

I noticed that this author didn't mention the bitter word and talk about the racist Anti American church he goes to and the racist pastor who is his friend and mentor. The same one that just said that Obama is just another politician.

It is poetic justice that the source of much of the victim-chic polarization in this country - the Democratic party - is being torn apart by "racism" and "sexism" in their presidential primaries. Too bad there aren't any white males left in the race to act as foils for Hillary's and Obama's "oppression." Maybe Edwards will come out of the woodwork soon and support one of these losers.

Alright then, I guess all these women who are voting for Senator Clinton are or should be considered sexist and or racist. People, we are never going to acheive change in this world untill we can change our views of one another. OOH, she'a Catholic, oh my goodness he's black, he's jewish or she's a lesbian. Who cares about someones, race, sex, religion, sexual orientation or any other thing that may make them different from yourself. If we could all learn to look past our differences and realize we should be celebrating those differences, nothing will ever change. We're all just people trying to find our way in a ****** up world. A world that isn't likely to change anytime soon unless each one of us takes it upon ourselves to make changes. You can't change the other guy only the way you react to the other guy. I vote Peace, I vote America United, I vote WE The People, I vote for the end to bigotry and hatred towards each other, Come on America, I challenge you to make change.

Quite frankly, I wasn't referring to the voters, who are simply participating in the process as good citizens. All of the charges of racism and sexism are coming from the candidates campaigns and media talking heads.

"All of the charges of racism and sexism are coming from the candidates campaigns and media talking heads."

Let's just focus on where over amplification of these issues gets all its wattage. Even McCain has done his best to avoid getting pulled into the media mosh pit by offering a carefully moderated position on the Wright-Obama teapot tempest - one that probably won't go down very well with radical RW GOPers. The pols know gender and race (among others) are tar baby issues that require careful scripting - which is something Obama failed to do initially but later re-addressed with an excellent speech. So, who is doing all the real tarring? Almost all the major noise is coming from the MSM and slick op ed partisans who profit over scandal to the detriment of anything even remotely resembling reasonable debate or discussion. And that is just the striking cover of a media matchbox filed with hirelings who keep the fires of gender and race inequality a burning issue.

It's strange how every time an article is posted about the faults of a candidate we jump right in and join the choir. Somehow it implies a vindication of the other candidates. No matter how bad Obama looks it doesn't make Hillary look any better. As a matter of fact she's behind all the negativity, so how does that make her look more desirable?

avatar

If Obama wins the nomination (very likely) it will be because he is black and democrats don't want to appear racist (since he and Hillary have virtually the same stand on issues). However, if he loses in November (also very likely) it will not be because he is black, but because of his stand on issues that are important to working middle-class Americans. A white nominee with the same stand on issues would suffer a greater defeat. IMO, those who would vote for Obama out of fear of being labled a racist outnumber those who would vote against him because they are racist.

There are blacks I would consider voting for but Obama is not one. There are women I would consider voting for but Hillary is not one. Heck, there are even black women I would consider. But when he/she loses in November, he/she will wrongly claim that is wasn't the issues, but that America was not ready for a black/woman president.

We should be voting for the survival of this country and it's people altogether. The candidate with the sensible ideas that have a chance to grow into something solid is the one that needs to be elected. Race is an outdated crutch.

Unfortunately, the people of this nation have lost their backbone and their integrity for fear of being "politically incorrect".

So instead of coming together as a nation and dealing with what needs to be done to stop tyranny and terrorism in the world, we all turn and bicker at each other and fight about why we are more evil than the people who danced in the streets when America suffered the greatest attack in our history.

I am sure the people who died in 911 would be proud that so many Americans are rushing to defend the Muslim quest to dominate the world.

Avery good comment; that is until your last sentence, but if that sentence is true, I would think that due to the fact they can't get here in numbers they would take the easy route and liberate Iraq

That is the problem. Democrats thought if they fielded a black person, and a female they would have an edge on the women, and black votes. They had that anyway. They knew all Hillary's foibles, and they didn't think we would bother checking his. He has many more questionable associations. His need to listen to a black Nationalist rant against America for 20 years should be enough to disqualify him, but he has friends that are known in Islam circles, as terrorists, or former terrorists, and middle eastern businessmen. We are not stupid. He likens his association with a Republican politician to his association with Auchi, Rezko, Wright, al Hady,Ayers, Dorhn, and the Egyptian college friend serving time with the blind Sheik for the first WTC attack. No, this guy has way too many questionable friendships.

The Dems would vote for Edie Amin for President if he was running just because he would be the first black president.

First Obama wasn't black enough and now he somehow got darker.

Any black guy would do for them as long as he was a Democrat.

We have not seen anything yet. The Rev. Wight house of racism will spill forth if for some reason the Dems. don't elect him to be their candidate. It will be interesting to watch the city of Denver go up in flames if Hillary gets the nod.

I believe Obama will and most likely should get the nomination from the Dems

When Obama starts the presidential campaign trail the race card will be played to a point we have never seen before. This will put the O.J Trial into dark history (no pun intended).

Rev. Wright can take credit for the increasing gap in this campaign between races when some of his sermons became public. Most Americans were unaware that this kind of preaching was conducted in some black churches. There seems to be more division, more racial tension and more distrust thanks to the good Rev's vile, racists Anti-American ranting from the pulpit. If I were Obama I would silently be wishing the good Reverend Wright would go to Africa until say.......... Christmas?

Rev. Wright has not only hurt Obama he has hurt our country. Sadly many people believe the crap he preaches IE the government invented aids to wipe out blacks and the chickens are coming home to roost. The chickens should come home to roost on Wright and anyone that would believe the trash talk in his sermons.
