It took more time than it should have, but on Tuesday Barack Obama firmly rejected the racism and paranoia of his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., and he made it clear that the preacher does not represent him, his politics or his campaign.

Obama tried to stand behind a veteran he owed from childhood (whose only crime was ranting in his own church about injustice, real injustice) until Wright's self-promotional antics made it impossible.

Obama should be commended for his strength of character.

Conservatives have bitten into this issue, like a pit bull, and will not let go. They'll get what they deserve out of it.

The purpose of the Primary season it to prepare the winning candidates for answering to Americans, and to compete against the opposition in the General election. Maybe the candidate is inexperienced, or unprepared to be President this comes out in the Primaries. Hillary proves she is tenacious, and Obama is weak. Hillary can make isstant decisions if necessary, Obama takes his time, Hillary fired her campaign Chair, and now she is winning. Good move. Obama fired his Pastor. Bad move, and he is dropping in the Indiana polls, and barely winning in N C. I don't like the Reverend Wright, but I respect his right to be himself.
