Damascus in the Crosshairs: The Syrian Affair

Politics – Peace between Israel and Syria is not on the neo-cons' agenda for the Middle East, and what better way to derail it than to accuse Syria of trying to make nuclear weapons? Kristol and company know that, were Olmert to falter, right-wing hawk and former prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is waiting in the wings.

On the other hand, it is certain that the Israelis are excited about a new war with the Arab states that will end in another cease fire but will bring thousands (or maybe tens of thousands) more dead and wounded Israelis.

They even succeded to convince the Syrian President Assad and his administration to NOT deny the neo-cons' absurd accusations about the nature of the stuffed toy factory destroyed by the Israelis.

I am curious, why do you say absurd accusations? What makes that an impossibility for you?

It's not me, it's the Arab and Iranian propaganda which is saying that accusing the Syrians (or IraniANS, for that matter) in trying to achieve nuclear weapons is absurd.

I'm only showing how absurd THEIR arguments are.
