Politics – Operation Chaos is the brainchild of popular conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, the purpose of which is to work mischief in the Democratic nomination process by urging Republicans to cross over in primaries and vote for Hillary Clinton.
LImbaugh has no anchorage to any moral convictions whatsoever. He thrills at the idea of another violent democratic convention. How sick is that?
Those that follow his sick rantings are just as lost. Are these the family values people? Ha!
The fact that Hillary has been willing to use the scurge of right wing extremists like Limbaugh to campaign against Obama has permanently tainted my opinion of her and Bill.
Fat Boy Chickenhawk has no shame. He doesn't mind toying with the democratic process as long as he thinks it is "just good fun". He really believes his own rhetoric that the democrats and any perceived liberals are an enemy worthy of clandestine activities directed at sabotaging our political process. His warped view of democracy he thinks is the patriotic way. Fat Boy should have had his plow cleaned a long time ago. I suspect he was the object of ridicule when he was a kid, and now hiding behind a police state and radio microphone, he has ceased the opportunity to become a powerful man. His pathetic life is destined for infamy of the wrong kind, and someday someone will tire of the boor and more than ridicule him.
If I remember correctly he, and through him his legions of dittoheads (an apt description of those who listen to and support him if ever there was), and the rest of the Barking Head Brigade squealed like stuck pigs when the story broke about the DailyKos advocating that Democrats vote for Romney in the Michigan Republican Primary so that McCain would lose.
What the neoclowns don't possibly realize is that perhaps the same thing may well have already been done to them, in a number of open primary election states, resulting in the selection of John McCain as the Republican nominee.
Perhaps Limbaugh has been "Hoist by his own Petard" and quite simply isn't bright enough to realize it as yet. I can hear his squeals of hypocritical outrage already!
If you are right, JQP, you make an excellent point. I do believe that crossing over is and should be an individual's choice to support a candidate, not a clandestine activity to sabotage the political process regardless which party practices it. Of course, though, this is coming from an independent who crosses lines regularly. It was interesting to see that only 52% (if I remember correctly from CNN) of the Republicans who crossed over in Ind voted for Hillary and was less than 10% of the total votes. That 4% unfortunately, did make enough popular vote difference to give Hillary the election. I don't know what would be a fair way to change the nomination process without disenfranchising thousands of voters, more than likely independents. Very interesting observation, JQP.
For now Rush is claiming "victory", but it will be interesting to see what he's going to come up with on November 5th.
Maybe it will be something like "See, it worked! We didn't REALLY want McCain to be President. Our work to get Barrack HUSSIEN Obama elected REALLY worked! Now we can start working on getting a REAL Republican elected in 2012".
Of course, when ANYONE calls him on this..."that was the plan ALL along".
