CNN's Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

Politics – The distorted manner in which CNN's favorite son, Wolf Blitzer, reports on the campaign and comments of Barack Obama has completely obliterated fair and objective news coverage on cable television.

Have you had enough of CNN and Wolf Blitzer?

If I hat a hit list for CNN. This would be my list and the order of said list.

Lou Dobbs

Wolf Blitzer

Larry King

The editors

The management.

There is hope for some of the others. I used to like CNN..... now it is the new National Enquirer. It is sad to say, the public is the catalyst for the changes I and others have witnessed. The public craves this type of reporting.

Lou Dobbs has become the "expert" on every subject. If you disagree with him,(as Obama did) he sets out on a personal vendetta. If I had to define whining in two words... it would be LOU DOBBS.The management and editors.... they are out to sell air time not substance

Wolf ... is politically challenged.... and unable to carry out an interview in most cases. Once in a while he succeeds.

Larry King... Once was a great interviewer.... now seeks sensationalism and dirt, instead of substance.

Me....I still watch it through my own personal filters...LOL

Probably because people like that are too smart to want the job. When Alberta's previous Premier stepped down, he said something like this: Anybody who wants my job probably isn't competent to do it, and anybody who is competent to do it probably isn't foolish enough to want it.

Me, too. The only bright spot left on that miserable sell out, CNN! I've never been so disappointed with that bunch.

I used to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I can't do that any more. I still watch it, too, in the same manner you describe...unfortunately,it stills seems to be the lesser of the evils to me.

I used to like Aaron Brown. Naturally, he disappeared a few years ago. I've never liked Wolf Blitzer. I've always found him a wolf is sheep's clothing. I hardly ever watch CNN these days.

I like McCafferty as well. I also like Anderson Cooper.

Dobbs is a self possesed moron and not too be taken seriously...Blitzer on the other hand, I kinda sorta had some faith in.

I sent them one.

I think that there are just too many "news channels". We as consumers need to stop watching them. No viewers means no advertising which means no revenue. And thats something that they will understand.

I stopped watching CNN's pre-election coverage several months ago when I couldn't find out what any of the GOP candidates were up to but meanwhile they'd have nightly roundtable discussions about Hillary flashing her cleavage ("What message is she trying to send to voters by wearing more low cut blouses? Why did she wear a pink pantsuit? What does it mean? Is she trying to take the focus off of Obama's flag pin? What?!") or "cackling" ("What's so funny? How many times did she laugh during that debate? Why didn't she laugh at Obama's joke? I wonder if she's still angry that he giggled during the Pledge of Allegiance?") or "misting up" ('gasp--she showed her "softer" side...whooo-ooohh...Why did she wrinkle her nose when Charlie Gibson asked her a question about Obama's middle name? Does it mean she secretly hate Muslims?') at a campaign stop.

They understand how news reporting has successfully morphed into headline creating programs like O'reilly and hannity.

Those guys will never get cancelled, but Scarborough and a few others who still seem slanted but not caustic will be the first to drop due to ratings..These guys need ratings..They get paid for viewership and they need to be bold. This is no longer reporting, it is now newsmaking, breaking stories and

stealing viewers from the competition..

I learned years ago to stop listening to that trash. If you don't view it and only the small minority do. They will fade away. Sponsors will not sponsor money losing programs for very long.

That is the problem with everyone listening to these peoples crap. Those who sponsor them know they get heard and their products are being heard about.

Want to get rid of them stop listening and talking about them.

Bury them with non attention and listen to those who promote what you believe in.

It was by communicating to CNN and cutting back from tuning into the channel that we got rid of Ralph Reed, when he was brought on to the station.

There is a difference between confronting an issue and ignoring it. If CNN knows why their viewers are dropping off, then we can effect positive change.

Wolf Blitzer CLEARLY has an agenda, evident in the asking of these questions, if not by his background and present affiliations. He is clearly anti-american.

Why couldn't he have asked Obama what he would do for AMERICA???

Spadecaller:

I let the advertisers know. I get in touch with them and say I'm not watchinng this because of this. I've had some responses wanting to know what I do watch and why.

I'm not saying to ignore the stupidity of the people. Just ignore the products that sponsor them. Let the sponsors know.

"Have you had enough of CNN and Wolf Blitzer?"

Is everyone supposed to get a "tingling" sensation when talking to Obama as Chris Matthews said he did?

McCain offered a fair opinion of Obama and a Hamas leader who said he "hoped" Obama would win the election. Calling it a "McCarthy-ite" attack is completely baseless and extremely prejudicial. Funny how a fair line of questioning and legitimate criticism amount to "McCarthyism."

Next thing you know, people will say those opposing Obama are racist. Oh, wait, some idiots already said that.

Al- Qaeda 'in Gaza with Hamas help'

The Times (London)

Feb. 28, 2008

"Al Qaeda militants have infiltrated the Palestinian territories with help from Hamas, according to Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian President.

"'Al- Qaeda is present in Gaza and I'm convinced that they (Hamas) are their allies,' said Mr Abbas in an interview with al-Hayat, a London-based Arabic newspaper. 'I can say without doubt that al- Qaeda is present in the Palestinian territories and that this presence, especially in Gaza, is facilitated by Hamas.'"

"Israel has long accused al Qaeda of infiltrating the Palestinian territories. The Israeli army's intelligence chief said this week that more al Qaeda members had entered the Gaza Strip after Hamas blew up the wall on the Egyptian border in January."

Just what we need: A potential president supported by the worst of the worst.

Hamas is the democratically elected govt of Palestine that has offered a 10-year truce to Israel. After a month, Israel still is ignoring the peace offering.

Now, if you take the blinders off for half a sec, you will realize the worst of the worst is AQ. You probably don`t remember but there was an attack on the WTC on 9/11/01, it killed 3,000 innocent people and was conducted by AQ.

Here`s what AQ says about the Bush/McCain plan to stay in iraq for 100 years.

"This bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap," al-Zawahiri says, adding that the bill is evidence of American "failure and frustration."

"We ask Allah that they (U.S. troops) only get out of it after losing 200,000 to 300,000 killed, in order that we give the spillers of blood in Washington and Europe an unforgettable lesson," al-Zawahiri added.

So you see libs, our current president and McCain have another thing in common. They are both supported by AQ, who for those of you who haven`t been paying attention all your lives, are our real enemy.

avatar
Reply

libsr, why do you *always* do this? This is not a story about Chris Matthews or MSNBC but since you brought them up, do you have examples of Chris Matthews or MSNBC glomming onto an ambiguous soundbite about McCain and running it over and over and over again so that anyone seeing it out of context will walk away with a negative impression of him? Can you do provide that?

So Chris Matthews has a crush on Obama. We got that. And you also know Wolf Blitzer loves him some George W Bush. The *rest* of the substance of this article you don't even TRY to rebut in a meaningful way. The point of zeroing in on that *one* aspect of the response and to loop it all day long on CNN is to associate Obama with terrorists--and you KNOW this. So when did Chris Matthews, MSNBC, or any network do report a story about McCain in a similar way?

avatar
Reply

Chris Matthews throws softball questions to Ann Coulter among others.

They only notice it when it goes the other way.

I watch The Situation Room every day. Also watch C-Span. I have seen some good and bad on both. But they are certainly better than the CNN core news.

I have crtainly had enough of CNN. I remember just a few days ago when one of the "Pretty Young Things" made the remark about an Obama statement "Who Cares what Obama has to say anyway?"

Now how's that for fair and balanced news reporting?

CNN is so biased it's almost immoral. And they call themselves Fair and Balanced.

I remember the outpouring of criticism CNN received when they brought on Ralph Reed; that ended quickly because of all the complaints and threats that viewers sent to CNN.

Although I only browse CNN randomly to get a glimpse at what they are doing, it didn't take me long to discover this kind of activity by Wolf. I would like to see Blitzer follow Ralph Reed out the door.

How about you?

CNN killed what would have been Howard Dean's nomination. I went in to work the next day after they created and broadcast the famous Dean Scream, and sure enough, the politically ignorant people at my work were all *concerned* about that.

CNN made that because Howard Dean declared he would take on the Media if elected. CNN can't have that.

Heckuva job, CNN, and I'll never forgive you for that, for manipulating the dummies, for dumbing it all down, for helping to stick us with 4 more years of Bushtard.

Anytime I check in on CNN's home page, it's about 50% fluff, 30% Bush admin propaganda, and *maybe* 20% of actual real objective, reality based reporting.

The sum of CNN is crap, despite it's few shining spots. You know that little white speck on top of bird sh*t? That's bird sh*t too.

I was involved in the dean campaign, and he was all done 3 weeks before Iowa. he had no Iowa organization and poor advisors.

To be honest Spade I can make only a scant judgement on Blitzer. I don't usually watch him but from the little I've seen it's total bias Against Obama IMO.

And also, I've basically been on a political blackout for 3 weeks except glancing at our biased newspaper to get the basics. It was only yesterday really I began to start participating again.I just got sick of the fighting, bickering, back stabbing, media and needed a break.LOL

I hope you had a chance to read my reponse to your media ownership comment yesterday. It explains my opinion on media bias except for specific individuals because cash and ratings still play a part.

Yes I did. Thanks for the comments. BTW I appreciate and respect our differences. In the real world I have friends who are more conservative-minded than me and we have no problems in relating constructively. I feel the same way about you. We may not always share the same opinion, but we agree to disagree respectfully. I think we could use a lot more of that in this world.
