Do people think the presidency is the only seat up for grabs?

Politics – Even though the Republican party is going to have an extremely tough fight to maintain and win the current seats up for grabs, it appears that even in the top-rated Senate races, they are far behind their opponents.

Hey, we Conservatives been in tighter spots than this.

Dontcha remember 2000?

Dontcha remember 2004? In 2004, the Demos put up a candidate who ACTUALLY served his nation in the military ... they demos thought that would trump GWs 'War Authority'.

The Republican SPin Machine simply trashed Kerrys military service - and by extension - ALL veterans.

And GW went on to his SECOND term ... where he succeeded in screwin things up even worse than in his FIRST term ... thereby EARNING the LOWEST POSITIVE POLL NUMBERS OF ALL TIEM!!

Go Bushie!

Lets see if you can get 15% Approval Ratings! I, for one, believe you can do it!

Goppy you are always talking about the spin machine the republicans have out. How about the democrats that take us to the cleaners. I don't know about you but they have hung me out to dry one time too many. And one more thing you are full of bull. Kerry trashed all veterans by telling them they were stupid.

Oh ranchy ... you missed the point.

Maybe this will put things in perspective for you.

In 2007, GW proposed a 2.2% raise for soldiers - the LOWEST pay raise since 1994.

THIS is what GW thinks of the sacrifice he has asked of them with his pathetic, ideologically perverse pre-emptive Iraq war.

Also - accross town - Walter Reed hospital was literally falling down around the wounded soldiers.

There was just a story in our newspaper that several barracks across the country were nearly uninhabitable with backed up toilets, broken plumbing, mold and leaks.

Need more?

GW recently VETOED a bill that provided Re-training to returning vets. This bill was designed by Democrats who were receiving numerous reports that returning vets had lost their jobs due to the extraordinarily long tours - (due to stop loss).

Kerry may have made a bad joke - but this administration is determined to de-humanize and commodicise soldiers and veterans.

And while all this cutting back on serving and honoring soldiers and veterans for their service - the administration was throwing money at Halliburton and KBR with no-bid contracts.

Even now, theres a story on Propeller of a NEW report of wasted millions due to corruption.

Thats why I always say - this administration is COMPLETELY disinterested in SOLDIERS.

Their love of the military extends ONLY to Military Contractors and Military Suppliers.

But then, what would you expect from a presdient whos a draft dodger, a vice presdient whos got more than one deferment. and a whole slew of war planners who never served a day of military duty in their life?

NOT ONE of the senators or congressmen from Ky voted for the new proposed GI Bill, i hope all of the ones up for reelection are replaced.

No Goppy You missed the point. ALL of them Democrats and Republicans have sold us out. There are some good ones on both sides so I guess I overstated. But the majority of them want to make our servicemen and women look like shell shocked idiots. And most are more worried about these dang illegals than they are about our servicemen. I have a cousin that lost his leg in Nam. He drew a little pension then when Carter came in they took it away. Then he lost his house and nearly lost his mind. It is a sad thing for a man not to be able to provide for his family. I didn't like the wording in this last bill for GI's and hope that these selfish people in washington will give a little more pay and services to the vets. Hospitals need to be maintained so that you got right. Just don't blame everything on on person It The Senators, and House also with the President that make laws. Not just one.

I know Mitch McConnell is campaigning hard here in Ky! My fondest wish is that his guaranteed for lifetime job would come to an end.

N2N Sweetie read these bills carefully. Some look good on paper But not in real life. I've had many of my family that served that lost limbs, prisoner of wars and torture beyond belief. I have witnessed first hand what they get. And it ain't all that is written on that paper. Johnson sold us out and the stick it to the Vets hasn't quit yet..
