I really cannot speak my mind out of respect for folks that represent the other side of the pendulum swing.
Stories like this do get me close to vomiting my personal thoughts.
You guys on the right are going to vote for the Republican candidate, Rino or not.
Folks like me are going to vote for the Democrat candidate even if they are not as radical as I would like them to be.
What are the Issues?
Where is the common ground?
I have no interest in bashing the man you will vote for, but I do have a great interest in the man who becomes our president at least being able to deal with the stuff we agree on.
They do not add up to 57 when he said that he has not been to Alaska, Hawaii and that he has one left to go.
I believe it was a slip of the tongue and that he meant to say 47. Which would be the correct number of states he has been to if you subtract 3 from 50.
Obamas supporters want us to just let this pass, but that would not be fair. The reason I feel that was is because they did not give HIllary a pass with her Bosnia remarks, and they lie through their teeth ery chance they get when it comes to McCain. (See 100 years comment for proof) I also remember how the media all but crucified Quayle for his (proper) selling of the word potatoe.
You have GOT to be kidding! Hillary's Bosnia remarks were outright LIES...not even close to slips of the tongue. She made those false declarations on 3 separate occasions, some slip of the tongue that is!
Yea, and this was just outright stupid. Totally unacceptable of someone who wants to be president of our country. Our 57 states. lmao! Thanks Barack, I needed a good laugh.
HIllary's Bosnia remarks were lies in my opinion, but when I said that a few months ago the left jumped my ass about it saying I was wrong. I figured this time I would try to keep you guys happy by calling them a "mistake".
What the left says about McCain's "100 years" comment is an outright lie too.
Please look at who I am responding to. I am responding to what is said during an election in an attempt to get elected. I agree with Tang that the democrats have removed some context from McCain's 100 year comment that portrays it differently than his full statement, but then again, tang's comment about it being a lie could be misinterpreted. It is not a lie that McCain made a comment about his belief that the US could have a presence in Iraq for 100 years. It is the details beyond that which determines misrepresentation or not.
I am not responding to whether or not Barack can count or to any faux pas that past, present, or future candidates or those that have been elected have made, and believe me, there are plenty that either rival or out shine this example.
All of this continues to point to the fact that candidates are mouthpieces for others. Way too many advisers and not enough of the actual candidate on both sides of the fence. One of the many reasons I like Paul.
Foxworthy and his buddies are funny as all get out.
Even though he has only contributed to Republican candidates.
I laugh my butt off with thorough enjoyment.
As far as I know no one has been smarter than a fifth grader.
I don't think Obama's slip was off quite as far as y'all do though.
District of Columbia, Puerto Rico , American Samoa, Virgin Islands, Guam, Democrats Abroad add up to 6.
And then there are the Super Delegates with their fluttering capes.
Maybe not all states, but it does add up to 57.
Those are not states.
I know that, and I think I said that.

One of the few things most people agree on is illegal immigration, and unfortunately none of the candidates have a good position.
"Those are not states."
Not yet.
They *can* vote, however.

I wouldn't have payed any attention to the slip if it hadn't been for him embracing moveon.org

It was just a tiny whoopsie.

How about the comments about McCain's illegitimate black child made in the 2000 NC primary? It sunk his election bid. Were they the truth?
Are you saying this is a lie? He says it right there on Youtube! lol, for all the world to see!
"I would like to be president of the 57 United States of America".
That was me imitating Barack. ; )
Lets kill dads and sons for profit, that's my strategery... that was my imitating Bush!
I will keep American troops in Iraq for a hundred years if necessary, my imitating McCain!

I think it becomes a lie when they say he wants "100 years of war".
Clinton says anything to get elected... look up her stands on illegal immigrants!!!
Obama has consistently been in favor of amnesty.
That is stretchig it thiiiiiiinn, you know.
As the author remarked: every child in US schools is taught that there are 50 states.
Obama attended schools in the USA from the age of 10 onwards.
And your point is?
