Politics – He's a Muslim and you know that has a lot to do with it. I just rather have, you know, Hillary."
I totally agree. There is a lot of surprises in store when we finally find out who this guy really is. That is just one of them. The Ayres relationship, the Reverand Wright relationship, his wife's hate for America, Farakahan,
gun control and the awb, his Muslim upbringing, and his Socialist agenda are all unanswered questions that will bite him in the behind.
If he were white we wouldn't even have him on the ticket.
If Obama gets on the ticket I believe John McCain will win. I know so many people who won't vote for Obama and would rather cross over and vote for the republican on the ticket. From what I've been reading and hearing and seeing on TV there are a lot of voters who feel the same way.
yeah, except for all those voters who voted for him.
All the talk about him being Muslim is more fear mongering.
If you vote against someone because of lies about them then what are you really voting for? More lies in politics? More hate filled campaigns? More of the same old washington!
Listening to lies is what got this country in the position it's in now. Maybe it's time to do our own research and makeup our own minds.
Do you trust John McCain, DandT? Do you really? More than Obama? With all due respect (and you SHOULD know I have a great deal of respect for you), perhaps your research is not complete...
Thank you for your respect and I respect you as well. But I have not said I trust McCain more than Obama. My partner and I have read and read and listened and watched everything we can get our hands on about the three running. We still stand by Hillary and that is NOT going to change even if she does not win. My Friend there is nothing you can do or say that will change our minds and get us to vote for Obama.
Which leaves us the question. If we don't care for any of the people on the ticket, why vote at all? What's the point?
Because when it comes down to it, only one of two people are going to win this election: Barack Obama or John McCain. I have not heard one rational reason from anyone who has been supporting Hillary to not support Obama. Not one (and that includes, sadly, even you...). I, for one, expect Obama to be an outstanding president should he be elected (and I believe he will be).
Peace be with you, my friends.
That is just ridiculous! I am astounded by the ignorance of some people. But who astounds me even more are gay people (and you know who you are here) who actually believe that a McCain presidency would be better for them than an Obama presidency. Have we learned NOTHING from Reagan on? WAKE UP PEOPLE!
Well I for one have not said I prefer McCain. I have said I don't trust Obama and after today. There is no way in hell he would ever get my vote after the old political move he and Edwards pulled today trying to over shadow Hillary's huge win last night. Change? Please. It's going to be the same old same old and they proved it today for sure.
As for the gay thing. You are dreaming if you think Obama is going to change our lives any. He wouldn't even meet with the gay newspapers or talk to the gay leaders for fear of running off voters. WAKE UP YOURSELF"
PEACE
DandT,
I do not what your reasons are for your dislike of Obama, but apparently there is some deep seated fear here. For the record, I WOULD vote for Hillary Clinton (albeit reluctantly) if she were to become the Democratic nominee.
I was very proud of John Edwards for his endorsement of Barack Obama today. You know I supported Edwards' candidacy because I truly beleive he was the one who was talking about issues that I truly believe need to be addressed...
The truth is, the Democrats have had an outstanding field of candidates this election cycle. What has frustrated me lately is that the REAL issues have been ignored while the campaigns snipe at each other...all the while giving McCain a free pass.
I DO hope that by the fall that you will change your mind.
And just so you know: I AM fully awake! For now, we will just have to agree to disagree...
Respectfully,
Scott

20% of Democrats, and I don't know how many others believe Obama is a Muslim. All he had to do was explain, instead of lie about, the five years he attended prayers with his step-father in Indonesia at a nearby Mosque. He brought this in himself.
So you don't see it as the result of successfuly slandering him, confusing the issue, and just in general refusing to take his word that he is a Christian?
That is modest!
Too modest.
No, Obama can not take credit for this, even negative credit. A big hand goes out to Rove, Rush, O'Reily and all the little people they would never let in their limos.
Honey, the first thing you need to learn is Politicians lie, all of them. Obama is a corrupt Chicago politician, you figure it out. Yes, his is lying.
