Any Democrat who does so is a moron. Bush did not mention Obama or the Democrats. If they think he meant them, then perhaps they hold positions about which they feel guilty? Why else make that assumption?
Don't be dense. By that logic when Senator Obama talked about people that cling to their "guns and god" it shouldn't have applied to anyone except those who WERE clinging to their guns and god and as such shouldn't have been a problem.
He was absolutely talking about Senator Obama AND President James Earl Carter.
Not only was it a nice try, it's perfectly accurate.
Your argument is that if certain phrases do not apply to a particular person then they should not be offended. By that measure, unless people were actually clinging to "guns and god" they would have nothing to be offended for because it was truth.
Whether or not he was speaking specifically about a particular region (I think he said Pennsylvania, not the Rust Belt) he was not speaking about specific PEOPLE, right? He didn't mention anyone in particular so it shouldn't have even applied to anyone except those clinging to their "guns and god".
So what does Bush think of the Baker Hamilton Commission's recommendations (that we try diplomacy in Iraq)? Let me guess...James Baker is an "appeaser" too, right? ;-(
The Dems should demand an apology from Bush and demand that McCain denounce Bush`s BS statement. Without a doubt.
What Bush said is not only nonsensical and hypocritical, it is down-right below the decency of the office of the President fo the USA.
Bush owes Obama and America an apology.

Nice try. Obama SPECIFICALLY spoke of people in the Rust Belt.
Bush spoke generally of those who would try, although I do believe that he had Carter, though not Obama, in mind.

It was an underhanded and slimy attack on Obama and common sense. So Bush owes them both an apology.
If you actually believe that, I got ocean front property on Mars to sell you - recent foreclosure, awesome deal!
Jose, you are just proving yourself another Bush sycophant.
And you are proving yourself just another leftitard moron who thinks he can discern what the President meant.

So Bush's staff don't know what he meant either?
Okay, then, what did the President mean? Who was he talking about?
If it didn't apply to the Democrats and it didn't apply to President Carter (also not mentioned) then about whom was he speaking?
