GOP - If we were a dogfood, they'd take us off the shelf
Politics – Two basic concepts the GOP had better remember: Reaganism and the Contract with America. As it is, they are getting what they deserve. USA Today.
I was raised in a Republican household in the 1950's. My father was in "management," so that's all I heard. By the early 1970's I was working in the unionized trucking industry, and found out the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Needless to say, I switched parties, mainly because of the issues supported by or opposed by the parties and candidates.
In a nutshell, Republicans have not, do not, and will not support issues that benefit the majority of people in the USA. They support big business, corporate agenda's, and salaried workers.
Democrats, on the other hand, support issues of importance to the common man and woman, who struggle to pay their bills each month, who need safer work places, who need a decent home with running water, and want to raise a family without government assistance (are you listening Wal-Mart workers?).
