Chris Matthews Tears Right-Wing Dufus a New One

Politics – Don't tick off Chris Matthews. On Thursday's edition of his MSNBC show Hardball, Matthews humiliated clueless Los Angeles right-wing radio host Kevin James over the "appeasement" uproar President Bush started in Israel during the state's 60th anniversary celebration.

One thing about the pugs you have to admire: they always keep digging. I'm surprised they haven't reached China yet.

I think there may be a Cabinet position for Kevin James in the McCain Administration!

in a way they have

I've heard we owe China a lot of money for our hole-digging foreign policy

but don't worry

they tell us we're turning corners

....

maybe that's the problem

turning those corners and diggin sideways now

Just goes to show you should never try to shout down the guy who owns the switch to your microphone. James proved he was a babbling idiot with no earthly idea what appeasement even means. All he knows is it's a talking point the RepugniCons are supposed to tar their opponents with.

It was truly fun to watch Chris Mathews take the blow hard apart.

But this is exactly what every yahoo on these boards is like. They shout and argue but they have not a clue what they are arguing about.

Appeasement is giving something away.

Talking is discussing issues.

Bush/McCain are no better than Kevin.

Still, lmfao!! awesome!

NEWS FLASH: Bush said he was referring to Jimmy Carter and not Obama.

Some liberal nuts might recall Carter recently meeting with Hamas. Last time Carter tried to broker a deal, Sadat was assassinated by the forerunners of Hamas and al Qaeda.

It's especially funny to know so many liberal nuts have referred to Matthews as a tool of the "vast right wing media." Just shows you how stupid that comment is and how far off to the left so many on this forum truly are.

Thank Gawd somebody showed up to prove that the video lesson is not learned!

Sadat was killed in October of 1981, ten months after Jimmy Carter left office. He was killed by his own military and all the perpetrators were either killed on the spot or captured and killed later.

Wrong president, wrong event, wrong year, wrong group, and wrong country.

Carter`s `deal` in the ME is the only one that is still functioning.

thanks for playing.

Looks like he's not a senior citizen like most of you who were "alive" then. Hell I didn't know the answer and quite frankly could give a $h1t. I think they both, esp. Matthews came off looking like an ass. As much of you, not all, hate Fox you'd never see that kind of questioning, not even O'Reilly,

low ball, "You don't know do you?". I didn't even count the times, Like that s...bag Chris spouted. Then again, MSNBC, what more can you expect?

avatar
Reply

I knew we could count on you to support the elimination of thinking when formulating an opinion, Scrimmy.

All Matthews asked of the blathering fool was to support his assertion with some fact. Like you, all he could do was regurgitate some easily digestible sound byte "appeaser" (kind of like 'decider' or 'evildoer' or 'mission accomplished' or....)without having a clue what he was supporting.

SOP of superficial knowledge.

--Um...if you're appearing on national television to attack a Presidential candidate based on a comparison to an earlier historical event, you absolutely had *better* give a $hlt. Cons love to cherry pick aspects of this war or that war in their desperate attempts to legitimize Bush's criminal and totally disgraceful rape of Iraq for oil. The illegal invasion of Iraq for oil will *never* be comparable to the WWII, cons. You weren't drafted, you didn't sacrifice anything, you got tax cuts, and the person you elected to run your country is a sick, murderous, disgusting clown. Bush is not, successful or even competent, he's not a hero and there's NO comparison to WWII. Get over yourselves. ROTFLMAO

"NEWS FLASH: Bush said he was referring to Jimmy Carter and not Obama."

which means kevin james is even more stupid than we all thought since he was obviously talking about a comparison with obama, not carter.

so he was wrong on three counts:

- didn't know who bush was really talking about.

- didn't know the history of the chamberlain-hitler deal concerning czechoslovakia.

- didn't know the defintion of appeasement.

wow. you must be completely embarrassed that this dooshbag is on your side.

thanks for the heads up.

I didn't know Chamberlain ceded part of Check to Hitler

I probably heard it before, and it was probably in there somewhere, its current cranial location may be occupied by the roster of the 95 indians or something

But I didn't know it

and look, check it out

I'm not a bad person now, and am not any stupider than I would be by pretending to know something I don't

and I don't have to be embarrassed like that knucklehead on that video

which I couldn't sit thru-it was like watching a spider swirling in the inevitable blue tidy-bowl vortex, struggling and fighting against the reality of its own ignorance on just how to escape its own self-induced watery holocaust

LRF-

NEWS FLASH Bush also said:

"Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons."

United Nations address, September 12, 2002

"Iraq has stockpiled biological and chemical weapons, and is rebuilding the facilities used to make more of those weapons."

"We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons -- the very weapons the dictator tells us he does not have."

Radio address, October 5, 2002

"The Iraqi regime . . . possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons."

"We know that the regime has produced thousands of tons of chemical agents, including mustard gas, sarin nerve gas, VX nerve gas."

avatar

"We've also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas. We're concerned that Iraq is exploring ways of using these UAVS for missions targeting the United States."

"The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program. Saddam Hussein has held numerous meetings with Iraqi nuclear scientists, a group he calls his "nuclear mujahideen" -- his nuclear holy warriors. Satellite photographs reveal that Iraq is rebuilding facilities at sites that have been part of its nuclear program in the past. Iraq has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes and other equipment needed for gas centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons."

N2N,

It's not inconceivable that those that scream the loudest are also the ones that know little about they're talking about. Any historical perspective and nuance is completely lost on them. Their message, if any, is to denigrate and abuse their limited power of the bully pulpit.

The reason that James couldn't answer is he doesn't really care about facts. They are superfluous to the point he's trying to make; that image and perception of ideology is the only truism. Attacking a political opponent by any means and method is more important to achieving ideological goals than than arguing with facts. In other words, the ends justify the means.

That he has any audience is indicative of the extent of sophistication that audience has of the issues they purport to be important to them. Action without knowledge of issue is stupidity. And many who believe in what James says are bereft of knowledge and are swayed by falsehoods because they want to be. They're a mindless mob of sycophants.

This is true, none-the-less, they continue to look like idiots, and the people who make excuses for them look even worse than idiots. I would shrink in sheer horror and shame if i had made an ass of myself the way Keving James did..

avatar
Reply

Kevin James as with most wingnuts, left or right, actually believes that their veiw of the world is the "TRUE, RIGHT" and only reasonable view and will yell and scream it to you and everybody else that doesn't get that they are right and always have been and always will be. The fact that they are making an a$$ of themselves all the time is something that they are blind to, it is the price one pays for being arrogant. Of course nobody on this thread ever does such a disgusting thing. And our current decider in chief never, never is so self-righteous that he won't listen or allow others to express their point of view as Kevin did.

avatar
Reply

OK. These talking heads need to do this. Turn off the loud mouths so that the public can HEAR the facts between the rantings of the loud mouths. CONS are loud mouths who don't want anything to be heard but their rhetoric. They yell, talk fast, interrupt, and babble. It serves NO public good to allow the to continue to yell, talk fast and interrupt.

avatar
Reply

I think the idea is.... If you scream loud enough, it doesn't matter if you actually know anything or not, and at the very least you can keep the ones who do know from being heard. They're idiots!

avatar
Reply

You have just discovered the secret behind right wing radio! Talk loud, talk fast, and say nothing!

avatar
Reply

This is why they're so terrified of the Fairness Doctrine. They think that in order to have their side heard, they must exclude or shout down the opposing point of view. Sad.

What would O'Really do if he couldn't scream maniacally into the faces of guests with whom he disagrees? How would cons survive if they were obliged to consider more than one side of an issue? ;-P

avatar
Reply

this is why they're so terrified of the Fairness Doctrine>>>>>>

Well of course it is. They've spent 30 years dismantling it. That's why they need to be turned off between tirades so the public can get the gist of what the other guy is trying to say.

avatar
Reply

What makes it worse is that the right has never offered much in the way of argument for their blockheaded approach other than that the "liberal media" had an unfair advantage.

avatar
Reply

Yes, that urban legend about the 'liberal media' isn't going to die easily. If sound bite rhetoric were made illegal, half the country would be mighty quiet.

avatar
Reply

jordan,

No, Matthews did the right thing by allowing James to keep digging a hole. If he were to silence James in any way, it would have been like the BillO show who is notorious for that.

avatar
Reply

I'm speechless.

avatar
Reply

Kevin James should have been speechless! He would have appeared to be a lot more intelligent if he had kept his mouth shut.

avatar
Reply

Some people need to learn when it would be wiser to not go on someone's show. That's the first mistake. The second mistake is to go there arguing in favor of something you really know nothing about.
