A move by the Clinton camp sure to complicate matters for the Democrats come this fall..........

Pc25:

No one is going to be believe this is anything but a Republican initiative thinly sprinkled with 'operation chaos' hillary-supporters.

For the record:

Hillary Clinton is going to be going around the country between June and November encouraging all her supporters, to vote Obama.

And they will.

Exactly, this "dem drive" is nothing but another desperate sleazy CON job.

What bothers me isn't the stupidity of this kind of attempt; they probably figure nothing to lose, might fool a few people.

What annoys me is they think it credible that Hillary Clinton would encourage such a thing; that she would sell out to be a spoiler, because in their imagination she is a power-mad man-killer foaming at the mouth.

That she could campaign hard, concede gracefully, and then work 'with all her heart' for her former opponent; they are reduced to lame LOL and ROFL and the other acronyms for 'I have nothing to say'.

Annoying.

I'm just getting a huge kick out watching Republicans running around in a panic (like their roach nest has been bombed) in advance of their guaranteed November flameout. It's pure comedy. ;-P

The Clinton camp is smart enough to know you can't just write in people who lose in the primary in enough states to win. This is rubbish--maybe by someone who likes Clinton, but more likely by someone who hates her.

I love how scared all the Obamadroids are getting all of a sudden at this story

and if you think she is going to go quietly you people are crazy

avatar
Reply

Well, my point isn't that she is going to go quietly; she is going to go on.

Till the Republicans are driven back to pit of hell they came from.

you have to love the following

"We will not vote for Barack Obama for a host of reasons, the most important of many being his indefensibly unimpressive legislative record. It also seems clear to us, through his ongoing affiliations with radical groups and individuals, that this candidate holds disconcerting racial beliefs that we find unacceptable in any elected official in this country, black or white, red or brown."

This is going from the sublime to the rediculus.

Ridiculous?

Absurd.

Anyone voting for this story who SERIOUSLY believes that this is a democratic initiative needs an immediate appointment with their favourite head-doctor.

However I believe that they are all quite aware that this is complete bs.

Sweetness and Light indeed!

Drivel and balderdash.

[By the way abntv - what exactly was SUBLIME ??]

I love it. There won't be that many write-ins. Although, a few years ago the mayor of our town was elected on a write-in vote. It might have possibilities in a close election, but I don't think this will be close.

"I love it. There won't be that many write-ins."

Probably not, but with the possibility of several cliff hanger states, this could be a disaster for Obama. 20K or so properly placed votes and Ford would have beaten Carter in 1976.

How does a simple observation get a neg? haha you lefties are too funny. Probably just look for my name and auto-neg. lol

I do know some Democrats that won't vote for Obama, but they are just sitting out this election.

By the same token, I have several republican friends who are not voting for McCain. They will either vote for Obama or just not vote they say.

If nobody votes for nobody, who wins?

"If nobody votes for nobody, who wins?"

WIth no one qualifying as President or VP, Nanacy Pelosi, or whoever is Speaker of the House on January 20, 2008. Of course, with THAT at stake, you'd get the entire GOP supporting at least a Moderate Democrat for Speaker, and under the Constitution, the Speaker does not even need to be a member of the House - Sam Nunn or John Breaux anybody?

Excuse the double. I refuse to vote for propeller.

"...I have several republican friends who are not voting for McCain. They will either vote for Obama or just not vote they say."

I doubt a Republican turned off by McCain based on his liberalism would vote for the extremely liberal Obama. Obama will drive far more Democrats to vote for McCain than McCain ever could drive Republicans to vote for Obama.

avatar

Agreed, except Obama isn't a liberal. Hubert Humphrey was a liberal. Joe Lieberman is a liberal. Obama is a Marxist. I wish everyone would read up on Cone's Marxist/anti-white "Black Liberation Theology" as taught by the TUCC under Wright and his successor.

Libs, I disagree...can't see many democrats voting for republicans this year.

Some still dissing McCain at polls

It's hard not to notice: In each of the past three Republican primaries, roughly a quarter of the vote went to someone other than John McCain.

Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee got a combined 27 percent of the vote in Pennsylvania last month, long after the GOP nomination had been settled in McCain's favor. On Tuesday, Paul, Huckabee and Mitt Romney received a combined 23 percent in Indiana. Alan Keyes, Huckabee, Paul and "no preference" took 26 percent in North Carolina.

OMG, this is hysterical:

"With a Clinton nomination seeming as questionable as an Obama victory this fall, what's a Democrat to do?

WriteHillaryIn.com is a website created by and for Americans who do not want to be forced to choose between Barack Obama and John McCain in a general election.

We've seen better, and we demand better.

We believe that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified and visionary candidate for our country at this crucial and uncommon juncture in its brief but unprecedented history.

We will not vote for Barack Obama for a host of reasons, the most important of many being his indefensibly unimpressive legislative record. It also seems clear to us, through his ongoing affiliations with radical groups and individuals, that this candidate holds disconcerting racial beliefs that we find unacceptable in any elected official in this country, black or white, red or brown."

I wouldn't get all excited AG, when Obama mops the floor with McCain in November you can wipe that smirk off yer face. :)

The Republican Party is in crashing...better move to the center or you will loose big time.

Dude, I've BEEN in the center.

It looks like the cat fighting Libocrats are splitting up because they have to something basic; like pick a single candidate for the whole Democratic party. Which they can't do. So it looks like the Libocrat party is crashing and hard.

I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Can't get much more center than that.

Right...And your Guy for the last seven years has managed to outspend all previous Presidents combined.

"I place economy among the first and most important republican virtues, and public debt as the greatest of the dangers to be feared. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt."

Thomas Jefferson, third US president, architect and author (1743-1826)

http://www.cedarcomm.com/~stevelm1/usdebt.htm

And you want more of the same with the new king of the flip floppers, McCain!

avatar
Reply

McCain is not more of the same. That's a myth the libs keep trying to perpetuate.

avatar

"Obama mops the floor with McCain in November"

God Forbid, but if so it will be a long two years. That's how long it will take Obama to destroy the Democratic Party with his Marxist instincts and naivete on foreign policy.

avatar
Reply

Its okay Jose, it can't be any worse than the last 7 years of the NeoCon screwups. Just relax....:)

Obviously, the same people who urged Republicans to cross over and vote for Hillary in Indiana are at their game again. Either have the weakest Dem candidate face McCain or having failed miserably in that, divide the Dem vote. These people are insane if they think their strategy is not as clear as day.

avatar
Reply

Obama is the weakest Dem candidate. You have no idea how happy many of us Republicans are that he is the likely nominee.

As for HIllary.... Goooooooo HIllary!! Remember Lieberman!!!!!

Your husband won TWO terms on a plurality -- maybe you can, too! GOOOOOOOOOO HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

avatar
Reply

"Either have the weakest Dem candidate face McCain"

But that's what he's getting. Obama is nowhere near as strong of a General Election candidate as Hillary would be. She is far more of a threat in Battleground States and Obama will drop like a rock once the Marxist/anti-white "Black Liberation Theology" of Obama's TUCC, as inspired by James H. Cone - directly quoted by Wright, so don't try to deny it - is widely unveiled.

avatar
Reply

Are you sure it wasn't the same Democrats that wanted some Democrats to switch and vote for McCain? Remember that came first before Obama loomed big with his eloquent about nothing specific speeches.

avatar
Reply

With Hillary stating she will support Senator Obama I believe that this movement won't gain much traction. In the end how powerful this is depends on how much she really wants that White House... who knows, she may get a footnote in history for being the most formidable write in candidate in history, though.

avatar
Reply

She has no choice unless she wants to be Liebermanized. Teddy Kennedy even campaigned for Carter in 1980 and Mondale in 1984, but enough of his supporters knew the truth that neither of them could win Massachusetts - the ONLY state that voted for McGovern.

avatar
Reply

Hillary's endorsement is political speak. Her supporters will support someone else, Nader, McCain or they will stay home. What could Sen Obama give them as President? Tax increases, a less than steller healthcare plan, retreat, and defeat in Iraq, plus even liberals don't a 100% Liberal doling out their hard earned taxes.

avatar
Reply

I don't know the rules in all 50 states, but in my state, unless the write-in candidate has a slate of electors, write-ins are meaningless. So if I opt for a candidate who is not one of the two corporatists, I'll go with one who has gotten on the ballot.
