The entire point of all this environmental hokum as well as glow bull warming is to steal our property rights. Free people own property. There are people in the United States Congress who want to enslave us and destroy our liberty by slowly removing those rights.
Thanks for posting and sending this RedRiverJ and I sent the email. Although, my congressman only responds to the highest bidder so his staff will probably dump it. lol
I thought that it was only our country that was crapping on property owners for the sake of the enviroment but your catching up quick. All waterways up here are under the juristiction of the Dept.of Oceans and Fisheries. we have a small creek running through 2 miles of pasture and some years it goes dry and doesn't flow but we are not allower to drain into it and they are thinking of making us fence it off so cattle can't get in it. In 2003 it went dry and all the small little pools along it had fish in them but they eventually died, I wonder at times if these dead fish had been seen by a government employee if it would have been my fault.
Thanks for the heads up RRJ! My congressman (John Lewis) will no doubt vote for this. However, the Congressman from the area I just moved from (Tom Price!!!) has already emailed me telling me not to worry, he will vote against it!
How many Congressmen email their constituents to tell them whats going on in DC?
Great to see all you repug/Bush sycophants jumping on this one to allow Dumya to continue to pollute the water in this country. Fools, its kinda like the debt Dumya has given us... more death pains to our grandchildren! You shortsighted fools always seeking just immediate gratification at someone else's cost!

For the landowner, this legislation means a lot of hassle, expense and time in court. With these changes, ordinary roadside ditches, stock tanks and ponds would be subject to extensive regulation and permitting. This is not just for farm land. If you own property with any water on it, a lake, pond, ditch they want to regulate and permit you to death. Link provides a state map so you can locate your illustrious leaders and tell them you don't need the government taking over your land. Your land is your land, it ain't theirs. Stop them now.
Ohhhh Yes, I've heard of stuff like this before at the state level. Means any changes you make to your home or lawn might not be as easy as you thought. Lots of set-back issues, water runoff and other matters suddenly become a royal pain in the hind end as well as adding to the cost of improvements.
Seems the government thinks they can run our lives, take care of our property, tell us how to raise our kids better than we can.......??? I made my calls, sent my fax, I like my pond just like it is and plan to keep it.
Ditto...I sent my email
This one almost slipped by me. Just emailed my congressmen, thanks for the update, and making it so easy to find my voice in Washington, Red.
This is another prime example of an ominous attempt to weaken the rights of private property ownership.
Something is necesary to rebut the 109th (Do Nothing) Repug Congress law that said only running water need have governmental controls... you fools go ahead and such up Red's lies... like the Medical Prescription Bill which still says our seniors can't negotiate lower prices. What a bunch of repug lies and exagerations - don't fall for it.
8 years of Dumya and the former Repug Congress has seen more polluted water in the US when we should have seen cleaner!
CactusAnnie's comment ---'This is another prime example of an ominous attempt to weaken the rights of property ownership' is on the mark.
