"Top fundraisers have invested not only their time and money but also their emotions in the primary battle. Major financial backers say the tensions have been particularly acute in recent weeks as frustrations have mounted in both camps.
Aronchick said that in his own discussions, he emphasized the need for the senator from Illinois to stop describing Clinton and her backers as representing the politics of the past.
"They need to understand how corrosive that has been among her supporters," Aronchick said. "For this to work, they need to correct any impression that he thinks we represent the old ways of doing things or Washington Beltway ways of doing things."
Hmm...could an Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama ticket be in the works???

I think so. I didn't originally but with the Edwards endorsement I think we will be seeing the "dream" of the Dems now. It will probably be Obama/Clinton campaigning with Edwards, who will be chosen as AG. At this point I don't think it will be Clinton/Obama. She's done a fine job of weakening his position and strengthening hers in the general election, but I'm not certain her position is strong enough to get the top spot on the ticket.

I predicted an Obama - Clinton ticket a long time ago on these boards - I believe that I was the first person to do so - and though I'm well aware that this may have seemed a Quixotic concept I have never seen a reason to alter that prediction, nor do I now.
I also believe that it would be unbeatable and that nothing better could happen for the US.
And if I'm wrong and the 400,000 members of propeller want to laugh their collective heads off in unison I'll probably hear it all the way across the great water and enjoy the cacophony [harmony seems unlikely..]
BTW I believe that Mdiar disagreed with me - probably the second time I said it. :)

I was banking on something that would help with the Latino vote. Clinton fits the mold to do that, to an extent, as she is considered a moderate and brings positive name recognition to the ticket. I was thinking a popular Latino politician though... I suppose that won't be happening. Clinton can bring the Democratic Party Ohio and Pennsylvania. Most probably would be better able to exploit Missouri as well. Florida is Republican again.

"One top fundraiser for Obama, a veteran of several presidential campaigns who spoke about the private discussions on the condition of anonymity, said there are sensitivities among many of Obama's supporters, as well. The fundraiser said there is a high level of resentment that Clinton has continued to campaign, even though her chances of securing the nomination are remote. Many are unhappy about the idea of having to make room for members of Clinton's finance team, who had "picked the wrong candidate."
"There are people who are thinking, 'Hey, my guy won. Now I have to share the trophy?' " the Obama fundraiser said. "That's something we have to overcome."
I imagine there is a lot of resentment on both sides given how hard-fought this campaign has been. There have been a lot of traded barbs, some of them quite vicious. Can democrats forgive and forget for the good of the party?

So Obama takes the Clinton's on the ticket? Not in this lifetime. He would be playing second fiddle to the big He, and he would never measure up. Besides Michele Obama would make him sleep on the sofa for four years. She hates Hillary, and Bill. And when Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

Don't think there is any love loss between Hillary and Obama, especially as you said aniokly Michelle Obama.

There seems to be a lot of animosity between the two camps and the whole idea if implemented may, I stress may, unite the Democratic party just long enough for OBama-Clinton to make it into the white house. However after that, the power struggle for political dominance between Hillary, ex-Pres( and still current husband) Bill, Hussein and Michelle will definitely begin and could definitely be a divisive, time consuming and debilitating distraction.
The Edwards VP idea could work. That way Hillary is removed from direct access to the Oval Office and is back in the Senate. But even 'exiled' to the Senate, she could be a formidable opponent to his 'ideas' and Presidential goals.
