McCain was p... whipped by Bush in 2000. It's one thing to be whipped by your wife. It's all together a different kind of p...y that gets whooped by a man.

"during speaking engagements. Michelle often nettles her husband for his domestic shortcomings. It seems all in good fun, her way of making the political couple more human. She confesses she has trouble reconciling Barack's finely-cultivated public persona with the laid-back husband who cannot put away the butter or bread properly."

Such lapses led Maureen Dowd (who won't let any glitch go unpunished), Spengler writes, to quip in her op-ed New York Times column, "I wince a bit when Michelle Obama chides her husband as a mere mortal--comic routine that rests on the presumption that we see him as a God...But it may not be smart politics to mock him"

this man is whipped.........how can he run the country when he can run his own house........

"She and Barack should continue to work on their pitches and batting average in the minors. The country will still be here, hopefully. There's always the next season, as they say....But in the off-season, they might jetison their affilliations with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright--as a gesture to white Americans who don't like to hear the country is no damn good. We prefer to make those decisions on our own, thank you very much."

Err, Radiofree:

you need to read Ms. Dowd.

She is cruel to people of all races, creeds, politicals, and dog breeds.

I would despise her as a bully except that she only goes after people at the top; she was a horror to the clinton's and just as bad to the Bushes.

Are you saying Obama should take McCain's approach in responding to his wife's needling?

At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you ******." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

Michelle Obama: Barack has hit boiling point

"Barack Obama is struggling to contain his anger and frustration over the constant barrage of questions about his character and judgment, his wife has revealed.

Michelle Obama lifted the lid on the irritation felt by the leading Democrat candidate for the White House at the way anti-American outbursts by his pastor, Jeremiah Wright, have dogged his campaign."

such a mensch, such a leader of men that he sends his wife out to do his bidding for him.........

such a political rhetorician, that you target the man's wife.

avatar

Yet it seems to be acceptable for Obama to send out mailers targeting Cindy McCain.

Wonderful example of double-standards there....

avatar
Reply

It would be a double-standard if I supported Obama attacking Cindy McCain's wife.

I don't.

I haven't seen the mailers; if they are personal about Cindy I am sure Obama does not approve of them.

McCain can not stop creeps from showing whatever adds they pay for themselves, even in his support; he can only denounce them. So also Obama.

And the point is, and remains, despite all fluttering of distraction-flags; personal attacks on family members is wrong and everyone of honor should denounce it.

If Obama's campaign sends them out (and spends money on them), he MUST authorise them - it's the rules that any campaign runs by.

Given the candidate lacking a head, Michelle's proximity, and the spouse monitoring things more closely than the handler (if that's what the guy on the left happens to be), we have the image of the spouse as the ultimate political player. Given the theme of the article, it seems like we're also prompted, at least on one level, to imagine Hillary standing in Barack's place, and Bill -- suddenly materialized -- measuring Hilary's ever gesture and word.

That was just a line in the sand. Obama certainly knows the RepugniCons will cross it. It is in their nature. And when they do, then Condy McCain becomes fair game as well.

Cindy's family ties to the mafia.

Her drug addiction.

Her refusal to release tax returns, calling into question what sort of bribery may be flowing into the McCain estate through her.

The American People really want a higher level of politics than this. But if this is all the Repukes can do, than the Democratic Party is more than ready to demolish them at their own ugly game.

avatar

Excuse me....

Obama's campaign has ALREADY sent out mailers attacking Cindy McCain.

Just like they smeared Bill Clinton on the false charge of race-baiting.

A "clean" campaign?

Only to Obama's little lemmings......

There are many men that are p***y whipped; but some are just P***ies ... like John McCain. No spine, no convictions, no soul, just bootlicking sycophants. You can see who's the whimp in McCain's home. Barack and his wife get along well and show genuine affection and respect; most couples could learn a little from them.

avatar

If the GOP continue along this nasty attack, they only leave Cindy McCain open for rebuttal. International drug smuggling, theft, addiction, forgery, and refusal to expose her tax returns. That is what we KNOW about, but i am suspect it's only the tip of the iceberg that is Cindy McCain. I hope Obama isn't too ethical to use that, if they continue to attack his wife.

avatar

N2N, the key thing here is that its not John McCain attacking Mrs. Obama. Its the Tenn. Republican Party. Why punish McCain for what these fools are doing? The wife is a valid target if she campaigns... but I'd prefer both candidates to not do this. They have no control over the state parties though.

avatar
Reply

Regardless of who it is doing it, they leave Cindy McCain as open game!

Nixie was outraged...or should I say, enraged, when the international drug smuggler was brought up on another thread.

But check out her little flag waving party over there...she seems to have changed her tune...or should I say, song and dance.
