The conservatives have their panties in a bunch. They should because the set this great country on a path of self-destruction that will take generations to repair. The latest hoe-down is about NBC. They know that Olbermann is on MSNBC and they would like to silence this thorn in their side, so the talking heads on Fox are fired up. Kinda funny, don't you think?

I think the funniest part of the charade is that when the White House criticized Olbermann for just showing excerpts of Bush's speech, he immediately responded by posting the entire video and a full transcript. Guess what. That makes Bush look like even more of a horse's ass than the original excerpts!

It's not just Bush, Billy O of FAKE news is out to get him also. FAKE News is using the fact that the parent company of NBC is still fulfilling a contract with Iran for medical supplies. They are saying that GE is killing American Solders because they are doing business with Iran. What is funny is this very Administration along with the republican congress sigh into law a provision that allows American companies fulfill their business obligation to Iran. GE's Obligation ends in a matter of weeks and they know that so they are going full speed ahead to scare GE into letting Keith go. Thank god it's not working. They head of FOX /FAKE has called the Big's at NBC to ask them to have Olbermann tone it down. How despicable that these bullies when confronted with a strong advisories cry like little girls, and beg them to stop...GO NBC!

I haven't a clue as to what is wrong with Propeller today, but it's getting to be very frustrating. Sorry if this comes up as a double post!

The most interesting thing I have noticed is that for all the ranting and raving, wailing and gnashing of teeth the neocons have been doing I have yet to see a single neocon refute and of the facts and figures that Obermann presents on his show or demonstrate that any of his commentaries are not firmly grounded in the truth!

The best they can do is stand off and unsuccessfully throw stones at him!

A more rational perspective on the latest WhiteHouse attack on NBC.

I think I speak for most of America when I say to Gillespie and President Bush:

"Whaaah, whaaah, whaaaah"

Cry us a river. So, one news network at least (don't forget ABC news's Brian Ross) has the courage to tell it like it is. I think Olbermann is starting to cut into O'Lie (dang it) O'Reilly's Fear Factor and it makes the tyrants in the White House a little dicey. Sucks being them.

244 days 8 hours and counting.

Obama/Webb '08!!! It can't happen soon enough.

After reading the full transcript I felt they should have let Bush ramble for the full fifteen minutes. It would only have confirmed what is common knowledge he has problems with subject verb combinations and rational thought. I suspect as the days of bush control over the media start to dwindle there will be more direct attempts at controlloing criticism of the administration.

Woodrow agreed with you.

I have always been among those who believed that the greatest freedom of speech was the greatest safety, because if a man is a fool, the best thing to do is to encourage him to advertise the fact by speaking. ~~ Woodrow Wilson

Another version of that I've heard is that you never know how dumb a man is until you hear him speak.

Bush is just mad because he couldn't find a straight answer in his bulbous hollow head.

mY FATHERS WORDS--TO A TEE..

Anyone that has seen him speak and heard anything that Bush has said that wasn't written for him can see that he cannot carry on an intelligent conversation. Usually that come from the fact that he starts becoming insecure with his ability to remember the lies he has told and keep his stories straight. ROFL No wonder they had to edit his interview.

All one has to do is watch Dave Letterman's "great speeches of American Presidents". I laugh every time I heard them criticize Hilliary for her "mistake" about snipers but they hang on every word as gospel from G W Bush.

avatar
Reply

Even when written for him he has a hard time saying most of the words in the English language. Most people have 5 words that gives them a hard time with when tired and 2 they just cant get a grip on, this guy is the reverse he has only 5 he can say without a problem.

avatar
Reply

And I gather Bush's five words are Al Qaeda, terrorist, Iraq, appeasers, and oil. ROFLMAO

avatar
Reply

They should have played the full 15 minute interview. Bush is an idiot, and what's more the people who try to make him appear intelligent and or a good president are more ignorant than he is.

avatar
Reply

Well, it's obvious that Bush is too dense to understand the difference between "diplomacy" and "appeasement". Too dense to understand the difference between "communication" or "negotiation" and "bullying" or "naked aggression". And to quote Robert Frost, "that has made all the difference". Bush has taken the wrong roads wherever there has been a fork. He is an obtuse man.

negotiations only work when there is a credible threat.

It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to negotiate with someone who has little or no concern for any loss -- including their life.

Let's be clear that in Israel Bush was simply regurgitating typical zioncon propaganda that even american jews find disgusting.

Bush in Israel: A president without shame

Politics â;; As a Jew, I am offended that George Bush has likened the Arab states which have engaged with Israel in a territorial dispute since 1948 as Nazis. I am angry that Bush made a moral equivalence between Hitler Germany and the Palestinian national movement.

Bush in Israel

Politics â;; In his eighth year as president, George Bush still lacks the courage to address anyone but an overly sympathetic audience. Indicative of his plummeting approval rating, he now has to travel six thousand miles to find such company. Should we be surprised that in front of the Knesset he would come out with a crowd pleaser like this?

While you expect people to trust you even though you believe Joseph Smith was a modern prophet who translated two mysterious tablets of gold with the help of a magic rock and a magic hat?

Frosty the Snowman's magic hat is more believable.

The Jihadist Dionys (who said again that he wasn't a Muslim), is proving to us all that he doesn't read what we write. Because I said I WAS a Mormon (passed tense), and, even though I let him know that I'm NOT a Mormon, he still thinks I'm a Mormon, PROOF that he's just like the Jihadists who don't read or study their opponent, just attack, deflect and try to change the subject in a process called "taqqiya" WHICH he, Dionys, says he knows nothing about, proving AGAIN that he doesn't read what I write, atleast. That is just SOOOO Jihadist of the Pen, even IF he's telling the truth about not being a Muslim.

My, my! Bush crying when the US networks finally begin to question his failure and propaganda.

Propaganda and the media

Politics â;; One of the greatest sins the U.S. government can commit is to turn a propaganda machine loose on the American people. Congress explicitly forbid this in every appropriations bill since 1951. There's no one left to enforce that law or any other laws the Bush operatives have been busy violating. TV network bosses have yet to answer for it.

The white House is trying to beat up CBS 60 Minutes for showing the Rove influence in putting the former Alabama Democratic governer in jail too!

avatar
Reply

The White House has misleadingly edited news reports itself, so they are a great big POT calling the little kettle black.

For example, in an effort to portray the surge as a success last November, the White House removed references about the lack of political progress in Iraq from an ABC News segment and distributed the edited version of the report "to government officials, Congressional staffers," and journalists. Only after ABC complained, the White House "acknowledged it was inappropriate" and sent a revised version.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/rapidreport/2007/11/wh...

It IS ironic that an administration that has planted false news stories at home and abroad - and set up a secret program to use supposedly independent military officials as Pentagon spokesmen - is now outraged over "the blurring of the lines" between news and spin.

Man I love it when that clown is on the air!!! His obtuseness is just a wonderful thing to behold.

The GW Bush credo: No I don't care what the rest of the world thinks I know I'm right even if I'm wrong. You are just going to have to trust me on this. LMAO

WMD = Bush and his administration. Those are the true weapons of mass destruction. Can't we just impeach the SOB? And get on with rebuilding America!!!

avatar
Reply

By now that would take longer than just letting him run down the clock.

The smarter path is to just let him yammer and keep sending him bills to veto. Let him fly his colors as publicly as possible for the rest of his failed administration. And let Mr. McGoo jump in to support him every time, putting the lie to his protests that he's not just another Bush and sharpening the contrast with the Dems.

Now Dems, stop wasting your (and our) time. Cut off funding for Iraq, shore up Afghanistan forces, start taking care of our veterans, kill subsidies for crop-based ethanol (and bilions in other farm subsidies going to non-farmers), get that funding back for solar and wind power, come up with some education plan that actually teaches kids something...you have plenty to do. All you have to do is DO IT and Bush's foolishness, stupidity and hubris will ooze from every pore.

avatar
Reply

If we let him run down the clock, he better quit flubbing up our country!

avatar

I just can't think it's funny anymore. It was funny in the beginning when he would stumble or say something that even a child wouldn't say. But now that the country is really in the crapper, it's not funny that 20% of the country still think he's great.

It's not funny that people here like Alpha Gnosis and Vidman and Liby can still not think he has done anything but be an amazing president.

I guess it is a testament to the lack of education in our schools. Anyone who has a free thinking brain can't be happy about the state of our Union right now.

Unless they work for Blackwater or are hugely wealthy. Those are the only two groups who have not really been hit hard by the policies of the BUSH.

The GOP has actually produced their own fake news, they`ve bribed media to spout their propaganda, and they`ve used and manipulated the media to do the devil`s work.

Now, now they are offended if the media doesn`t behave according to their every whim and demand?

F` the traitors.

I believe the NBC. The whole country and the world knows what a "pathological" liar Bush is along with his team. He, Republican party and his team has no credibility left.

Given NBC's ratings, he had gave them more publicity and viewership than their original story got.

I love his bee hive analogy. "If you find a bee hive do you just leave it alone and hope the bees don't sting you?" Well actually yes Mr. President. I don't just run up and whack it with a stick and cause ALL the bees to attack me, especially if they are africanized bees.

avatar
Reply

What does Africanized bees mean anyway? I have never understood that.

avatar
Reply

African bees are particularly agressive -- worse than hornets. A very few made it across the ocean (either in produce or in plains or a boat) and got loose in South America. They started interbreeding with the local honeybees turning them from docile honey makers to agressive bees as their genes took over. Thus the term 'africanized'.

This happened in the late '60's to early 70's and they've been slowly migrating north since. They are the basis for those cheesy "killer bees" horror movies.

It's a biological distinction, not a racial slur.

avatar
Reply

Thank you I didn't know that. Why was I neg on that question hehehe.

avatar
Reply

tchef, that was what I was thinking, either LEAVE THE HIVE ALONE or SPRAY IT WITH BEE KILLER AND RUN LIKE HELL-o. don't whack it with a stick... then whack it again, and again...

The funny thing is that if the major media outlets had not routinely lied and denied the american people the truth about stolen elections , 9-11, WMD, and the horror that our illegal war has brought to the middle east these bums would have been thrown out of office a long time ago.

BushCorp wins again!

Using Clueless George as it's putative frontman, they always succeed in changing the subject. It is enough to make searching for the meaning of 'is' seem almost scholarly.

The real point is this: The Rove machine fully intends to initiate an attack on Iran, in order to leave the next administration a situation which Faux News and its other water carriers can claim to show "weakness and appeasement." thus -in their view - somehow magically preserving the so-called 'legacy' of the Bush years.

As to the effect of their actions on planets and peoples, it is hard to see how they could care any less.
