Having lived in Michigan for a ling time, I can say you are 100 percent right about that. He's a typically sleazy Detroit politician. It seems all the Democrats have to offer thus far is: Rove is a punk and we're gonna get him!"
They'd be far more effective if they just concentrated on doing their jobs and not trying to create tempests in teapots all the time.

Sounds JUST like the Republicans during the Clinton administration. "Tempest in a teapots" is an apt description for their 1990's witch hunts.
See my posts below about the Republicans' totally hypocritical 'support' for the "rule of law", which is only important when THEY are in control. When Republicans are on the receiving end of that "rule of law", they decide they are ABOVE it.

How dare that insignificant little turd of an elected official even think of summoning the great and powerful Rove.
Guess he doesn't know who he's messin' with.

Tell ya what, Locky12 - the next time, or if ever, you get a subpoena, let us know how your lawyer deflected it for you because you are above the law and do not have obey it.
Rove is an American citizen just like us. And, just like us, he is subject to the SAME LAWS that we are all subject to. He is not a king, he is not "special", and he is NOT above the laws of this land.
What Rove IS, is pompous, greedy, a liar.

It is just more Democrat posturing. If Rove decides to ignore the subpoena, they will not go to the Supreme Court for a decision on Executive privilege for two reasons: 1) they are cowards and 2) if they win, it will subject future Democrat presidential staffs to scrutiny also and they can't have that.

"Future" scrutiny of the Democrats? The Republicans scrutinized the HELL of of the Clintons in the 1990s!
http://oversight.house.gov/documents/2006011710...
During the Clinton Administration, the chairman of the House Government Reform Committee unilaterally issued over 1,000 subpoenas to investigate allegations of misconduct involving the Clinton Administration and the Democratic Party.
The Committee issued 1,089 subpoenas during the 6 years that Dan Burton served as chairman from 1997 through 2002. During this period, 1,052 of the Committee's subpoenas - 97% - targeted officials of the Clinton Administration and the Democratic Party; only 11 subpoenas related to allegations of Republican abuses.

The Republicans think that they are ABOVE the law. Yet when THEY were the ones issuing the subpoenas, NO ONE was suppose to be "above the law".
Rove and the Bush administration and the Republicans are huge HYPOCRITES. They want every thing THEIR way regardless.

Tom Delay himself, and other Republicans, made glorious speeches about the "rule of law" --
"No man is above the law, and no man is below the law. That's the principle that we all hold very dear in this country."

Gee, I wonder what happened to the passion all of those Republicans had for the "rule of law" and of "truth"?
Oh, I know what it is - they left it all behind when they gained control of the White House and the OTHER party was attempting to uphold the "rule of law".
