Oil is a fungible commodity. The world economy and the world's need for oil has grown while supplies have remained relatively fixed. So the fact that the U.S. gets most of its petroleum imports from the western hemisphere has nothing to do with the price of oil. Nor does it have anything to do with the extraordinarily acute strategic importance (to the world as well as the U.S.) of maintaining the daily flow of Middle Eastern oil.

Never the less .. the U.S. gets most of its oil from Canada, which suggests there is more oil to be tapped in the U.S. as well. We know there is in Alaska, the Great Lakes and the Gulf Shelf, but Democrats tend to get in the way.
The closer to home we get it, the lower the transportation costs for getting it here and the cheaper if can be overall - in theory.

His vision of the ME is simple. Just follow the trail of his friendships, the latest one being exposed is the one with PLO activist Rashid Khalidi, whose anti-Jewish organization Obama and his pal William Ayres voted to financial support (via the Woods Foundation) to the tune of $75K.

Obama's vision of the Middle east is to cut and run out of there thus surrendering to the terrorists and allowing the mass murdering of many thousands of good people by an influx of terrorists from Iran and Syria in an eventual takeover of Iraq resulting also in an all out war with Israel by Iran.
All of the blood of those good people will be on Obama's hands by turning his back on all the faith those people have put in America. We must finish the job over there and Obama is not the one who will do it.
